Great cooking class we had so much fun and helped create some amazing dishes that we consumed at the end in a huge feast. We were also able to try things whilst preparing. Everything was very well explained. Nice small class too, 6 people in total. They also provide photo’s, video’s and recipes afterwards. We shall try and recreate some of the lovely vegetarian dishes in the UK. Thank you.

We learned to make several dishes, all vegan, and all tasted incredible!
The vibe was casual and welcoming and we had fun the whole time. Everyone made sure we felt welcome and it was the best cooking class we've participated in.
We really enjoyed learning about each ingredient and how they are used in Balinese cooking.
We can highly recommend this class!:)

Went to kin’s at 3pm for cooking class that finished after we had eaten what we cooked 6pm
The instructor was very funny and made it an enjoyable experience. Lots of fans and drinks provided so that we remained comfortable.

My friend and I had an amazing day doing the Kin vegan cooking class with Chef Reeves. All the staff are superb and make sure you have a great experience. We got to learn so much about traditional Indonesian cooking and culture and just made us fall in love with the country more. Highly recommend! 🙏

Did the vegan afternoon cooking class In Seminyak which is run by the same people as the Nia Warung cooking classes (it’s right next door). The class was really enjoyable, interesting and the food was delicious. Our group only ended up being four people which was a good size. The chef who led the class was friendly and made sure we were all involved in the cooking process.
You also get a copy of the recipes to keep which is really great so you can actually have a hope of making them at home.
Would recommend only having a light early lunch before you come as there is so much food and you get to eat some along the way and it’s an early dinner anyway.

Awesome afternoon learning vegan cooking basics for number of local meals including Tofu Fritters, mie goreng, sweet crunchy tempeh, steamed pumpkin cake, etc etc ... 11 items in total.
Suitable for absolute beginners like me. Went along with wife and joined two others to form small group of 4.
Great way to spend a few hours, learn some vegan cooking basics, meet interesting people and then enjoy an awesome meal, that you all cooked!
Chef Mang De is a wonderful instructor and warm host.
Is easy to find - just head to the Seminyak flea market, is up the back in the restaurant/bar area
Go on do it, you will then be able to take a small part of this beautiful part of the world with you wherever you go to enjoy and remember forever.

The class is taught only 3 days a week, and my daughter and I were lucky to be able to join another couple when we showed up in person one Thursday an hour before the 3:00 class started. While waiting, we were treated to a local sweet and cold tea.
Chef Mang De is funny, fun, and informative. Although there's little chance that we would be able to obtain many of the fresh ingredients necessary to prepare these dishes in our home countries, we all had a great time tasting, chopping, slicing, grinding, mixing, mashing, sautéing, wrapping, and finally enjoying the products of our labors.
The fee for the class is IDR 500,000 per person. Drinks were ordered (separate charge) while we waited for our food to be beautifully plated and brought for us to enjoy.
Cooking, eating, chatting and photo-taking.... What a fantastic 4 hours!

Thank you, Chef Tommy for your energy and enthusiasm for cooking delicious food. I really enjoyed the day and there was a great bunch of students - a mix of vegans and those curious about vegan food, which is awesome.
Chef Tommy was extremely knowledgeable , funny, entertaining. He shared lots of trivia about the ingredients and origin of dishes, which I really enjoyed. He also made the class feel very personal, even though there were 13 of us. We all took turns in chopping veggies, grinding spices and cooking - all the students were very kind and supportive. The best part of course, was eating the food and it was delicious, some of the best Indonesian food I’ve tried. If you’re worried about the level of spice, it was on the milder side so everyone could enjoy it. I personally would add more chili if I was cooking just for myself.
Overall, it was a fun day and the 4 hours flew by. Thanks again to chef Tommy and everyone else at Kin.

The chef (Tommy) was fun, personable, knowledgeable and kept things moving.
The dishes we cooked were amazing and the group was all inclusive and shared the same positive values.
I would definitely recommend this cooking class to friends and family.

The setup is a long table with each participant having own apron, chopping board, and our own knives , graters , and other utensils. The only thing we shared was a large mortar and pestle which we took in turns to make paste.
