We did the Duiwelsbos waterfall trail this afternoon and were absolutely spoilt with views as we were the only ones there. We went in the afternoon, it was hot but the trees provided us with cool shade. There is parking available right by the entrance...More

Wow, what an absolutely beautiful walk we went on. We were in awe of the beautiful surroundings and I particularly enjoyed the canopy of trees which created a cool walk. Our 8 year old daughter joined us so we did this hike but we'd love...More

Marloth Nature Reserve has some magnificent natural beauty for the nature lover. It caters for the casual hiker to the extreme fitness fanatic and do not tackle the hikes alone, always take friend or two along for company in the event of injury.

You must visit 'Duiwelsbos', the waterfall trail. Amazingly beautiful. I always think that if Avatar could've been 'filmed' somewhere, it would be here. I go there at least once or twice a month for a walk.

Only minutes by car from Swellendam town centre, once checked in with park attendant at the entrance, good unpaved 2WD roads await. A relatively short drive or cross country walk to the commencement of waterfall track. While mostly up hill and steep in parts, it...More

I loved this nature reserve. It is so green and lush. The moment you walk into the greenery you are transported to another realm. The walk to the waterfall was magical. It is a bit slippery but we loved every minute of it. We were...More
