One of my favorite places in the area! Take a walk on this stunning and wild beach to Gerickes Point at low-tide where you can search the tidal pools for fish, octopus or other marine wonders.... It's also one of the best spots for sunsets (and sundowners)! Enjoy!

Great place to go for a beach walk, fish or take a quick dip in the sea. Nice beach for a fun day out!

Gerickes point has been burned into my mind's eye since I was old enough to remember. The full moon rolled down the elephant's trunk on the headland down to it's tip resting in the silver sea. The sunsets behind it created kaleidoscopes of fiery colours. It will probably be the last thing I see before I die. It represents the... More

Gerickes point in a hidden gem in the garden route. It is a lovely day out on a low tide where one can be entertained for hours with the many rock pools, it is also great for snorkeling on a calm day. Definitely worth a visit.

Low tide is when you want to go - but make sure to watch the tide once you get there and if want to get back! Otherwise take water and food and wait for the tide to turn again. Beautiful, peaceful and worth the visit. Fisherman stand like sentinels on the beach and rocks - and children scurry between rock-pools.... More

Hills, Mountains, Lagoon, beach and ocean with an array of bird life, and fynbos typical of the garden route. Really peaceful and beautiful

One can only reach Gerickes Point at low tide. It is a beautiful short still unspoiled beach walk to the point. On one side you have high fossil dunes and on the other side rock pools with sea anemones, sea cucumbers, small fish, starfish and small shells. Sadly while we were there some people were just removing bags full of... More

A most beautiful spot especially when you want to get away from people. When you get to Swartvlei and go down the steps its this beautiful beach. No houses around no buying refreshments just quiet heavenly bliss. In the distance is Gerickes Point a hugh rock which looks a bit like a lion, majestic. If you want to go all... More
