Good in-town tasting

The staff at Robertson are very good and there is a good range of wines for tasting. It was really nice to comparent similar wines from their budget and mid-ranges.

Wine tasting
Nov. 2017 • Couples
We had a very early morning visit to Robertson Wine Cellar - they probably just opened :-) The two ladies at reception was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the products they had to offer. We tasted 5 different products at leisure while walking through the (small) museum and sitting outside on the verandah. The prices of the products are definitely less than in stores and we left with a case of our favourite Robertson wine.

A Wine Factory or a Winery
Sep. 2017 • Friends
I arrived with preconceived ideas about wine co-ops and wine factories and was pleasantly surprised by the products of Robertson Wine cellar. We were heartily welcomed by two very friendly and knowledgeable ladies at nine on a Sunday morning and had a most interesting tasting. We loved the chardonnays on offer and a lot of us invested in their wonderful Riesling - what a great wine! The red wines were such a surprise - full bodied, fruity and well made. Definitely a place where I will stop again and again to fill my car with great classy wines at very reasonable prices.

Disappointing visit
Dec. 2016 • Couples
We had come here specifically for the chocolate and wine pairing; But we're ignored for over so left disappointed.

On arrival the two staff ignored us, chatting to each other despite my wife and I standing the desk and them blatantly seeing us. Ok, I figured they must having a deep meaningful conversation (I dont speak the local dialect couldn't tell) but we were ignored irrespective.

Reading other reviews people have had good experiences, but given the warmth and welcome of other wineries compared to this; I have to mark this one down.

Poor show. Although the security guard was welcoming!

The wine tasting for groups in the old wine storage facilities are really something to do.This take the form of a pairing. Every wine is paired with a specific chocolate that was made especially for that wine. It is really something different and very good.

Extremely embarrassing visit
May 2016 • Business
I arrived shortly before 13:00 on a Sunday with 2 guests. Before we were greeted I was asked if we wanted to do a wine tasting. I said yes and was told we are closing. I told them I had travelled specifically to them from Oudtshoorn as according to the web they were open until 15:00. My 2 guests from India remarked as to the rudeness - the first they had experienced in SA. All it would have taken was 10 minutes - wanted to taste the natural sweet. I understand they were about to close but the manner in which we were treated is not what I expect.

Awesome little place in Robertson CBD

This is a must, amazing wines, great service and right in the centre of town.
They have a wide range of wines, from the budget type to the more "elite"

All the wines are stunning, and the tasting venue, even though very small is still a must see. There is old wine implements that was used year ago with a little bit of history for those whom are interested

Great Intro to MCC and Great Wine (as usual)

As if the free wine tasting wasn't a pleasant enough surprise, the prices of the bottles of wine were really awesome (very affordable) and the packaging was cute and convenient.

Thank you for introducing me to your sparkling wine range^^;)
