Make sure you pick a sunny day, anytime of the day is good but sunset is the best. You may even catch a whale in the bay. Superb views that cannot be beaten. Picnic stops along the way too.

Driving out of Hout Bay and towards Chapman's Peak is where you'll find Hout Bay Lookout. Plenty of room to pull up at the side of the road at the look out points to see stunning views across the bay. Only downside is that the...More

Love love love the views from this spot. One if the many places along this drive that you can stop and get good views and great photos.

We love driving along Chapmans Peak Drive (when it's open). Rockfalls. Possibly a dangerous route when there are rains. We don't like paying the toll. Costly. But as far as views are concerned a " must do" experience - particularly in nice weather. There are...More

The Hout Bay lookout is unavoidable when driving along the western coastline. There are plenty of spaces for a safe stop and a great opportunity to take some amazing photos.

This is a very popular restaurant and at times is jam packed with too many people which makes it very noisy and chaotic.

There is a restaurant with similar name but the actual lookout area is free and it is a frequent stop for both tour-buses and private vehicles. The views are lovely and it is mainly a photo opportunity.
