    Great wine tasting and cheeseboard
Great experience sampling wine and accompanied by cheese board. We had to visit here during our trip to South Africa as we really enjoy your leopards leap Shiraz that we can buy in Morrisons UK. Our preference is sparkling but we can't seem to buy these at home. We were not disappointed, too many to choose from, all good. So much so we took six bottles away, all different. Including a still Rose.

Great tasting on a great location
Our group of 18 got a separate room for our tasting, be sure to pre-book. Really nice tasting and great to have the possibility to buy some adittional glasses at the bar if you did not get enough on the tasting. Nice little shop with lots of stuff to look at. All in all a very modern, professional and elegant establishment.

    Every wine was really good
We enjoyed our stop at Leopard’s Leap. Although the parking lot made it seem busy, our tasting still had a personal feel to it. We enjoyed every wine we tried and ate lunch here as well. The lunch was delicious. Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting Franschhoek!
Thank you very much for your visit to Leopards Leap MDRedSox. I am glad you enjoyed our fantastic wines and had a great lunch with us. Visit again soon. Lawrence

    Excellent wine tasting experience...
Grand leopard that welcomes you, what a statement. Beautiful establishment, spacious, open tasting room leading to the restaurant. We so enjoyed the extensive wine tasting, fabulous wines selected and a few extras but so well conducted by several young women that were still doing their training towards an education within the wine industry- good luck to them. We stated with the reserve tasting but extended our tasting due to the conversations with these two engaging ladies and other wine options were enjoyed.
Thank you very much for your visit and kind review Mobile35942195053. I am delighted our wine ambassadors could engage you in such a way and have passed your review on to them. Visit Leopards Leap again soon

Unfortunately this is only available on Friday's - make sure your holiday allows for an afternoon at this beautiful vineyard. The group is limited to approximately 14 people and you sit just in front of the kitchen so you get to see things being prepared. A brilliant experience and the food was outstanding, so incredible how the wine can change in flavour depending on the food its paired with. If in Franschhoek this is a definite must do.

Leopard’s Leap offers the best value for money wines in the whole Cape in my opinion. Their wine tasting is only R40 and their Lookout range is on average R50 a bottle. The quality is good and certainly my favorite.

Wasn't sure about doing a tasting at one of the bigger more corporate wineries but this was better than I'd expected. The place was packed but still enjoyed a premium tasting in a relaxed way at the bar area despite all the hustle and bustle around me. The tasting was 55R for 6 good quality wines. Very enjoyable.

We decided to visit this place on the last day that we as a family could spend together before I left to return to the UK. This was such a pleasant surprise and the children and grandchildren really loved it here. It was peaceful and the food was really lovely and the children had a wide open garden to play in that had a jungle gym. The parents could remain seated in the restaurant and still keep an eye on the children - the beautiful winefields were spread around the restaurant and we had such an amazing view of the beautiful mountains. The only disappointment was that the water fountains weren't in use (which we could understand due to the fact that there is drought in Cape Town) as the children would have really loved to cool off in the water as is described on the website.

This was our first vineyard visit in the area and it certainly set the bar high!!
We were welcomed warmly as soon as we stepped onto the grounds by a very helpful security guard. Once inside we were shown to the tasting area and welcomed by Janine. Her passion for the wines shone through in her delivery. She shared more interesting information with us than on any of the subsequent tastings in the places in the area. This was all in a light, airy room with views of the vineyard and the relaxed restaurant area.
We enjoyed the experience and ambiance so much, we stayed for the buffet lunch. Tasty salads and vegetables with your choice of pork belly or neck of lamb. Again, enhanced by very friendly staff.
This is one if the smaller vineyards and although its on the main road , it could easliy be overlooked in the haste to reach the big vineyards in the area. Neither is it on the wine tram tour.
It's definitely worth a visit. Excellent wines at reasonable prices supported by a passionate team!

Mini precise :- Restaurant is like a 1950`s factory canteen, on our visit hot, stuffy, food aseful and unforgivable white wine served to us WARM

I hate giving bad reviews, and should have heeded the warning in our guesthouse literature that the food was forgettable, it certainly was! This winery advertises a rotisserie, with pork, beef, chicken, lamb. And conjures up visions of meat of spits lovingly tended by attentive chefs. Please substitute reality of pieces of lamb that look like they have spent the day in a crematorium(they aren't on display but in a hot drawer, black as your hat and shriveled up. The small well done pork joint came out of a similar drawer. The chicken was in the form of a chicken pie which was as dry as the Western Cape drought!

The menu we were give was priced by weight of meat, but an entirely different pricing structure was give on a board next to the cremated offering

The restaurant has wide expanse of glass, but even on a cool day, it would act as a greenhouse, thus the ceiling fans require to be in use to circulate the air, and cool the diners - no on our visit we baked

This is a winery, so wine is their primary business, our selected white wine was WARM and had only received cooling properties when it was placed in the ice bucket at our table - totally unforgivable

All the wineries we visited large and small welcomed their guests, not so here, the whole visit was a impersonation forgettable experience - don't let it be yours

What a wonderful wine estate this is on the outskirts of Franschhoek.
We booked for the Buffet Lunch which was absolutely delicious and more than plentiful. Excellent choices of hot@ cold vegetables and some mouthwatering salads. There was a choice of fish or three different roasts. You fill your plate which then gets weighed for the pricing. We enjoyed this with a delicious Chardonnay wine from the estate. They also had a very nice array of desserts. All-in-all a terrific lunch.
The staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient. I highly recommend this Estate.
Booking for the lunch would be preferable.

Great Vineyard to sample the Wines marketed here and all staff we encountered were friendly & attentive.

We took a Premium Taster at 55 Rand and could taste a lovely variation of Whites , Roses and Reds which all were of good quality and standard.

Although we did not eat here the restaurant looked lovely 😊

Highly recommend the Wine Tasting here with Charlo who knows his job and made us all very welcome 🙏
