Wonderful experience at small boutique winery, Lynx Wines. The winery is quiet and you have a chance to take in the gorgeous view of the Klein Drakenstein mountains. The larger winery experience sometimes feels like we're being moved through like cattle. Lynx really feels different. Maybe because it is a family affair. Quenton who manages the farm greeted us like... More

A smaller vineyard with a personal touch. We were the only visitors there and we enjoyed the wine tasting. The cellar visit was really informative and very personalised.

A glass of Lynx Xanache at dinner and some prior research of small independent wineries brought us to Lynx. The greeting in the testing room was warm, the guy in charge clearly knowledgeable and happy to share his love of Lynx wines. We were lucky enough to meet the wine maker and see the first grapes arriving from the vineyard.... More

There are many nice wine estates to choose from in the Franschhoek area. After a visit to a couple of the big ones, we went to Lynx, a small estate run by a very nice and knowledgable man who welcomed us even after opening hours. It was a very personal and pleasant experience. We got all the stories behind the... More

The Lynx Cabernet Sauvignon has been my firm favorite red wine for the past few years. It is a rich, full-bodied wine that just tastes wonderful. For a lunchtime refresher the Lynx Blanc de Noir takes a lot of beating. It is refreshingly light and pairs well with all types of cuisine. There are other equally delicious wines in the... More

We live in the Boland so good wine farms are certainly not strange to us but Lynx is definitely worth the effort of going slightly off the normal route. Their wine tasting is very good and - if you can get it before it is sold out - their blanc de noir wine is superb. From the minute you pour... More

Cracking wine cellar experience at Lynx. 5 delicious wines to taste, 1 rose, 1 white 2 reds and a dessert wine. Our favourite was the Viognier. The cellar tour after the tasting was really informative as well. If your looking for a relaxed intimate vineyard visit then you can't go wrong with a visit to Lynx!

We visited Lynx during an "off the beaten track" wine tour and we are so pleased that we did! No gift shop, no restaurant, no art gallery just a small producer of exceptional wines at incredible prices. Our tasting and tour was given by a member of staff who actually makes the wine and his knowledge was 1st class. All... More

We certainly are 'off the beaten track' and we believe that's part of the charm. I'm glad you enjoyed the all wines as well as the cellar tour! Do visit us again when in the area. Regards, Dieter More

Lynx is very small so we were the only people having a tasting. The wines are very good, the service good and the views really nice. Good place to put in your itinerary.

Small winery with good quality wines. Tasting preceded by tour in the winery with enthusiastic and knowledgeable explanation of the wine making process. Tasting itself was simple, but good with again enthusiastic and professional comments from the local worker. The winery doesn't have the grandeur of some of the big estates, but this is more than compensated by the quality... More
