Wild animals like zebras, giraffe etc.. roaming in the reserve. There are few view points over looking the reserve and the dam with spectacularly views. A place worth to visit.

I've been in Gariep couple of times last year it a wonderful place to visit with your partner for a romantic weekendor with your entire family

This time it was green after all the rains. The dam is full and always a great site with the brown waters.

We stopped at the damwall to have a look. What an impressive structure! The area surrounding the damwall is being kept clean and reasonably safe. Ample parking at the damwall to be able to have a walk around. Do go up the steps opposite side...More

Huge dam, extremely beautiful at sunset. Arrange with Oom Gert for a tour on 0788880845. A pity it was quite empty while we were there. Bridge is very well maintained and is quiet, makes for some good photo ops.

the accommodation was of great hospitality and the is a great piece of art/construction. One can even camp and just enjoy the beauty of the dam.
