If you have experienced the Kruger park, one thing you know is that it's him he and you have to plan your drive. The addo is different. It's smaller, allows you to drive "as the wind blows" and there are spots where you can get...More

We did an afternoon safari. Much of the park is tarsealed so you can take your own vehicle. We chose to go in a safari vehicle as it is higher. We saw elephants, lion eating a Buffalo, jackals, leopard turtles, mongoose, golden and grey, kudu,...More

We were staying outside the park this time and not camping inside as usual. two days at Kirk wood and 2 day at Paterson. The self catering in Addo park is too expensive for us but we stay in Kirkwood very well and drive to...More

We have traveled in South Africa and neighboring countries for more that 25 years. Addo is on our doorstep (St Francis Bay) and it required a trip from America for my sister and husband to overnight for the first time in years. Our Parks cabin...More

Addo does have a lot of elephants, although on this trip it took until the third day to really see them in big numbers. Their large family groups are quite special to observe, especially the way they protect their most junior members. But there is...More

Visited Addo on route from PE to CapeTown. Amazing national park. We choose to be driven around by a local ranger ( rather than self drive ). We cannot recommend this option highly enough. We were taken of the normal roads in to the scrub...More

I cannot describe how much I loved being in Addo National Park. I thought the whole experience was magical. There is something very humbling and overwhelming about being in the natural habitat of wild animals. Our tour group was very lucky as we went on...More

We visited Addo for the first time this year, after visiting Kruger and Chobe in Botswana many times in previous years. The vegetation is very different to that in the other parks and the variety of wildlife that we saw was a little limited by...More

This park is rightly called an Elephant Park since these are the most numerous animals to observe. There are other animals but we saw far fewer being on an own drive. We managed to see several different groups of elephants and some from very close...More

There are plenty of elephants so you're going to see some. There are no giraffes (due to them not being native to the area) and only a handful of lions (so we didn't get to see any). The lions also appear to only come out...More

Can I request 2 particular Safari Tents in Main camp or do you have to take what you get? Being family, we would like 2 tents next to each other.
