We arrived to Addo Elephant National Park thru the entrance near Colchester. We stayed one night in two cottages (my wife and I, and 3 children) in the Main Camp and we drove with our rented vehicle. It was a wonderful experience. We watched the...More

This was an absolutely amazing experience. We did not manage to catch lions or leopards. But did see elephants, water buffalo, warthogs, kudu, monkies, ostrich, zebra and hartebeast. Vistas from overlooks and at watering holes were beautiful. I recommend bringing water as only source is...More

What a perfect day, albeit it hot hot, to visit Addo and be rewarded with sightings of zebra, hartebees, kudu, elephant, warthog and not 1 but 2 lion sightings! Being the bush you never know what you going to get but we certainly got it!!...More

The tent sites are really small but the caravan ones much bigger. Very clean and well kept. No fence views, the noisy train line and some traffic were the down sides. Still well worth it.

We stayed here again in Feb 2019. We stayed in a small comfortable chalet with communal kitchen which was well equipped. The Cattle Baron onsite is a terrible place, dirty and falling apart so we prepared all our own meals with stuff we bought from...More

We did a morning self-drive in the southern half of the park on our first day driving the Garden Route. Having just come from Chobe National Park in Botswana the sightings and numbers of animals weren’t so plentiful. But it is still always exciting to...More

We decided to do a self-drive on our first day. The drive itself was very relaxing and there were not too many other cars. We managed to see quite a few animals and it was a lovely day. On our second day we had pre-booked...More

If you want to be in the wild and experience these animals in all their splendour with thousands of square miles of free space, this is the place to do so. A gorgeous range of animals, all left to their own devices (but for some...More

We saw 4 of the Big 5, with more elephants than we could handle! Definitely worthwhile to sign up for a game drive - the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We also stayed one night in one of the rondavels, which was also an interesting/unique...More

It was my very first safari in the wild and, as a Nature lover, I really enjoyed it very much. Our guide Andrew is a very experienced and nice man. As for me, it's the most interesting in South Africa.

The driver usually stops for photo taking (and will hopefully turn the engine off: we learned that elephants don't appreciate engine sounds as it interferes with their communication with each other). I was able to take some... More
