We visited the Sam Azeez Museum of Woodbine Heritage this week. The director and the guide made us feel very welcome and we had the opportunity to tour the Museum as well as the Synagogue which is one of the 2 remaining original buildings in Woodbine. It was fascinating to learn about the history from a Woodbine native who was... More

This is a great museum to visit and to learn about South Jersey's rich Jewish history. It's off the beaten path but a great place to get out of the hustle of the Jersey Shore.

Woodbine has a lot of rich history and the Sam has captured it. Not only is there a museum but a synagogue as well. My family was one of the original settlers and it was nice to go back to the Sam and walk again through history. This time I took one of my NYC friends-she loved it!

Woodbine has a Jewish origin. This is a must to see if you are interested in history and holocaust information. It was previously a synagogue and has all of its original décor as one.

It's a piece of Jewish history . Jews were forced to move due to the poor soil and the experiment did not succeed. Extensive records & pictures present the history of a community that is no longer there. The synagogue is an interesting historical site.

This town was created by offering access to Russian immigrants before the turn of the century (1880) the museum contains the history of the town, including census reports and photographs, well worth the time and effort to stop by

This museum is a must see Judaica of Southern New Jersey. It is located in the Woodbine Brotherhood Synagogue building listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Visiting this museum is an excellent way to get acquainted with the history of 19th century Jewish settlement founded by Baron de Hirsch. Due to poor local soil the agrarian kibbutz did not... More

Finally stopped here after years of intending to. Small museum with a kids reading area. It will not take you long to look at the non-interactive exhibits or the synagogue.
