We have come twice in the last six months. Sloping orchestra section means everyone can see the stage, but the best seats are front three rows in the balcony because it's close to the stage. Whoever organizes the shows does an excellent job of bringing in a wide variety of performances (ballet, tribute bands, music legends, drama/comedy/variety shows). The acoustics... More

This is a lovely old venue. There is not a bad seat in the house. The seats are comfortable and the acoustics are fabulous. It is a small theater and very intimate, especially in the orchestra seats. I have been going there since I was a kid and I love it. Enjoy the show!

McCarter is a modest sized venue that attracts a special quality of artists who want to perform in "Princeton". Princeton U. actually has its own concert venue but McCarter is adjacent to the campus and conveniently located footsteps from Princeton Station (the "Dinky Station") so people coming from anywhere north or south disembark their NJ Transit trains at Princeton Junction... Whether Jazz from Lincoln with Wynton Marsalis, humorist David Sedaris or first class theater productions, McCarter Theater has it all!!! Comfortable seats with lots of legroom is a definite plus for me! And they're very easy to do business with as well! We are very lucky to have this great resource enriching our lives. As NYC transplants, I don't know... More

Broadway musicals as well as plays are viewed here at McCarter Theatre. Many unique venues such as small theater groups who put on the shows like it was their first or last. Classically trained or amateurs are all loved and appreciated by everyone who comes to the McCarter Theatre. My family has seen hundreds of shows for many years since... More

This was an absolutely fantastic show. The audience was so into the show you could hear a pin drop. The train on stage absolutely made the show with it being so real moving back and forth on stage. We loved it.

This theatre is immaculate both inside and out. It feels brand new inside, although it isn't. There's a great assortment of food and drink at their concession stands and all of the staff is friendly and helpful with any questions you may ask. I have yet to see a disinteresting performance here too. They offer a great selection of plays... More

A sold out concert by Chris Botti. We were here when he came here many many years ago. He attracts a huge audience. The parking facility is much improved since our last visit. PU build a recovered NJ transit station with multi deck parking and Wawa store on the lower level. We paid $75 pp for a balcony seating. Our... More
