I have stopped to take a look sometimes a take pictures. This is one of the largest cathederals on the East coast, from what I have read about it. There are nice Italian restaurants and bakeries nearby. This was once a major Italian neighborhood at...More

It''s really really beautiful inside. The outside has,so much detail including the doors. But when you go in your jaw will drop.

You will be so surprised to drive though Newark and find this jewel. It is just breath taking. I love going in the spring when the flowers are in bloom and the trees are popping.

As beautiful a church as you'll find anywhere. Particular favorites: (a) the two front towers are rotated 45% (a very unusual element; (b) the brass front doors have Old Testament scenes and New Testament evangelists; (c) the Stations of the Cross are made of mosaics...More

We are quite surprised with the beauty of the cathedral. The architectural style is a hybrid of English and French styles, making it a combination of York Minster and Notre-Dame. Very outstanding facade. Unfortunately it was not open when we arrived.

You don't have to buy ticket...but normally I always donate a few dollars into the donation box right next to the secretary's window. As for visiting hours...this is the best part...you can visit it any time even when there... More
