I saw a concert there. I love this theater. The acoustics are great. It is close by my home in Somerset. The theater is large, but not too large that no matter where you sit, you can still see (and of course hear). Parking is...More

So lucky to have this historical landmark in New Brunswick. We attend their Broadway-like shows often, ax well as first rate concerts. But a bonus thus summer are their free movies on select Tuesday nights. We saw 1776, the Lion King, and Coco-- all free,...More

Went with two other couples to see Terry Fator ventriloquist show. He had a great show with 4 or 5 puppets including a new one. Great singing and lots of laughs. He respects veterans a great deal and asks them to stand up. He donates...More

I brought my father here on Father's Day Weekend to see the Happy Together Tour. He had taken me to see some of these groups perform in the early 1980's at Great Adventure. I'm both glad to see them again and said at the way...More

My wife and I probably catch 6 or more shows every year at the State Theatre. We love the venue, as it is only 25 mins from home, and New Brunswick has plenty of nice restaurants to choose from. Our most recent show was the...More

The State Theatre is an old very large theater. Our seats were in middle of the balcony and we felt like we were sitting up in heaven. Try to get seats in the orchestra.

The shows here are just not my style. I saw Peter and the Wolf here, and it was the most boring show I have ever saw. There was so much orchestra, and it was playing so loud, I could not hear the actors perform. The...More

This theatre is very old and is very famous among the local people. It is one of the favourite past times for the people.

Great venue for concerts and regional theater. Reasonably priced (most times), easy to get to and great restaurants in the area. Theater has good acoustics and brings in some really good talent. Hats off to management for booking Regina Spektor. Oldies shows have been excellent.

I have seen a few concerts there and always was pleased with the venue. Regardless that some performers were not so good, lol.

I honestly do not remember who performed. Usually in Nov and December they have various holiday performances.

Right behind the theater is a parking garage that I have found to be the cheapest. $10 for the whole time, not hourly. The theater is on Livingston, make a right onto George St. then take your first right, the parking garage... More
