We have been fans of George Street for years. Artistic Director, David Saint has been bringing high quality productions to the central New Jersey area for some 20 years now. He has a knack for obtaining good plays and then getting fine stage actors to work with him. Saint often directs the play too, as his does with the wonderful... More

We have been subscribers for over 20 seasons and seen the theater mature and each season become more satisfying and exciting for theater lovers. Last season will be hard to top with offerings like "The 2nd Mrs. Wilson" and "My Name is Asher Lev".

During the four years that our daughter has been a student at Rutgers, we have seen three excellent productions at the George Street Playhouse: "Clever Little Lies," "The Second Mrs. Wilson," and "My Name is Asher Lev." I would not hesitate to return to GSP to see whatever might be playing when we next visit New Brunswick.

The George St. Playhouse is a Professional theater which presents live drama and comedy productions, both new and revivals. Although there is an occasional musical, the venue is too small and lacks space for more than a small combo of live instruments. The quality of the productions vary more than the consistent high quality of the McCarter Theater play series..... More

Stars are often from Broadway, and the quality is high for a local theater. Play selection varies from drams through musicals.

A great gem in Middlesex County. Very intimate theatre, with great productions overall. Have been a subscriber for over 15 years and not disappointed. Please check individual performances as some might not be suitable for the young ones. Thought provoking and fun.

This is a quaint theater with quality small production shows. The stage is relatively small and many of the productions feature perhaps no more then 6 or so actors. Sometimes you get a show with well known and established actors, other times you get new original shows with relatively young performers. The acoustics are fine and there is not a... More

We went there to see a show on New Year's Eve and it was great. There are several restaurants close by, all very good and afterwards there was a fireworks display.

Great place to see a play. Saw Old Jews telling Jokes. It runs thru January 3, 2016. A Fun night out for many laughs. Cast was fabulous! Best way to start the New Year! Theater very quaint and comfortable. Not a bad seat anywhere!

Have never been disappointed with the George St Playhouse. The stadium seating gives a good view of the stage from almost any seat. The plays that they pick are almost every time a fantastic script, and the set design usually rivals the finest on Broadway. This time we had the pleasure of seeing the Second Mrs. Wilson. Not only was... More
