From the trails to the gardens. From the different seating locations to all the different birds and chipmunks and butterflies. A great reading escape.

It's nice to be outside and the setting is fairly nice. There are a lot "fancier" gardens, but there's quite a bit of space here and the facility's are nice. Grata farmers market as well.

There are various trails for hiking, ponds for fishing. Bring a blanket and a book and relax. I have seen many weddings in the Pine Forest and the Log Cabin. A very relaxing place to visit!

Althought these are lovely gardens --- quiet, well-kept, and excellent for a nice ramble --- ther are no rest rooms. I find this hard to believe but they had one --- one port-a-potty just outside the gardens. And it was really filthy! Disgusting! No one...More

I visited this location for a wedding ceremony. The gardens had a few key eye candy locations but over all I was disappointed. It seemed a bit disheveled. Perhaps I missed a lot but I would have loved to see a greenhouse growing their fame...More

Several times, when visiting our daughter at Rutgers, my wife and I have taken one- or two-hour walks through the Rutgers Gardens, hiking wooded trails along the river and walking through gardens and the bamboo thicket. We look forward to our next visit.

The gardens have been there for 100 years and improves every season. There is even an organic vegetable garden raised by volunteers. A gem. Become a member.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no Rutgers buses which go to the gardens. I would advise calling Rutgers information. They might know.
Id like to know about wedding events held there.
