This place is HUGE! Seriously! It doesn't look like it when you park the car but walk around. There is an amazing trail that goes to a reservoir. Overlooking the reservoir was beautiful.

When my eldest daughter was planning her May wedding, we looked for places in the area where the bride and groom and their bridal party could take outdoor photos. This is always a risk, as weather can be predicted but not completely counted-on. After checking...More

Beutiful well kept landscapes, retaining walls, gardens and variety of plants in all sizes. Benches to sit and relax abound, as well as cleared walk paths. Great place to enjoy a walk to clear head after a hectic day.

A hidden gem - these gardens are wonderful for a walk, photos and there is an area to rent for parties. The Rutgers gardens abut to Farrington Lake and the NJ Turnpike, and yet have a lovely layout with flowers, shrubs and a super bamboo...More

Have stopped here on many occasions in the past. And have always enjoyed it. This was my first visit this year and I am disappointed. There is a lily pond that used to be somewhat open enough to see many dragonflies and frogs. This year,...More

My late daughter and I walked through the gardens. There is a path by an open field, through an arbor where the trees are in a perfect line, and the bamboo garden is special. A nice place to getaway in the middle of everything.

I don't believe that any Rutgers bus goes to the arboretum. Even if a bus dropped you at the Ryders Lane entrance to the arboretum, you would have a 10-20 minute walk into the nicest part of the arboretum. Consider taking a... More
