I enjoy history and all that it has to offer, you can never stop learning. Cold Spring Village is taking that step back in time. Walking the village and learning about Cape May County is something you need to do. And it great as a field trip..

Thank you kindly for your positive review Diane H.! The history of Cape May County is certainly an interesting one and we love to share what we've learned with others. New in 2017 we are hosting a new weekend event! Whaler Yeoman Weekend on July 8-9. This event celebrates the Cape May County founding families’ livelihoods, which were tied to... More

Spending the day here was like taking a trip through time. The period buildings were hosted by very knowledgeable people who made each house "come alive." The printing press showed how it used to be so long ago, and the printer was able to give us a whole history of the printing press. He was very interesting to listen to.... More

What a great place, went with 10 year old granddaughter, she had a blast. Loved the bakery and blacksmith. Would definitely recommend. You also need to try the new brewery, even have fresh made soda for kids.

We have been to Cold Spring Village in the past and wanted to see what was changed since our last visit. It was an extremely hot day when were there but found respite in an air conditioned building with rest rooms. Most of the buildings were moved from other New Jersey locations to here. People in character costumes man several... More

If you want to step back into history with live impersonators , fantastically restored and re-imagined structures , a live exhibition and demonstration of Benjamin franklin's inventions and research , a live cannon firing exhibition with historically accurately dressed actors then this is the place to go . The volunteers are versed in history and stay in character, so you... More

We stopped here enroute from Wildwood Crest to the Cape May Zoo. Although rainy, it was an awesome beginning to a day of lots of driving. Both kids (15 & 12) loved it much more than they anticipated. We saw roughly half in two hours. 22 acres of buildings staffed by volunteers artisans. Really great activity for all ages!

We did a Sunday morning trip here on Pirate weekend! It was neat to walk around and hear the history behind the houses. They were brought there from all over Jersey. Being pirate weekend, there were coins hidden all over for the kids to find. Each child could get 3 and turn in for candy at the country store. Volunteers... More

Our children had so much in this little village. The "villagers", we're engaging and knowledgeable, and truly seemed to enjoy themselves. This is a great activity for younger children, say ages 2-10. Tweens and teens would be easily bored.

This is a great place to take families. The re-enactors make the effort to engage visitors in how life was lived in the 1800s. There are many crafters at work: potters, printers, book binders, basket makers, tinsmith, and - most popular - a blacksmith. Crafts and other period-appropriate goods are on sale in the General Store. On summer weekends, the... More

We came out for the Pirate invasion though small it was nice seeing our pirate friends. The sites were interesting and the workmanship was top notch. I thought it was a bit pricy for what it was but it was interesting
