Overview
More
Built in 1897, New Hampshire's oldest 9-hole golf course has beautiful mountain views and has been approved to be on the National Historic Register. The entire property is under a conservation easement to preserve it forever. We use very few chemicals in our greens maintenance, and rely on our 'experienced' grass to carry us through. It does. This is a perfect course for a fun game of golf the way it has been played through centuries. Indeed, it is virtually unchanged from its 1897 design! If you want a 5000-yard manicured PGA challenge, you might be happier elsewhere - but for $15.00 (less than a round of mini golf), whats not to love?

We stopped here because my brother used to live nearby, we walked around the golf course and went to see the house where he used to live.

The Pro Shop has been condemned and being used as a Storage Facility. The Greens are all damaged and weeds abound.

Great views and not crowded at all. Almost had the course to ourselves. Affordable and also very historic, neat old club house there, waiting to be restored. Like your own personal course.

At least we had a good laugh. The conditions were so bad, you had to laugh. Holes and dead patches on the greens. The views were pretty though.More

Thanks for your input. if by 'real' course you mean a 5000 yard pga level course, then we certainly arent!!! we are the oldest 9 hole course in the state, built in 1897, and virtually unchanged since then. Because we have a conservation easement on...More

OK if just learning or want to practice your short game without keeping score. Free use if staying at Sugar Hill Inn. Don't pay to play.

Short up and down course with some interesting holes, but very scruffy greens.
