We just returned from a trip that included exploring the Kancamagus on Sept 27th. The foliage was fabulous and the various waterfalls, rivers, views of mountains and foliage were unbelievable. I'd recommend stopping at the visitor center in Lincoln, NH (right off highway exit) or...More

Drove this road going northwards on our way home to Montreal. It was a gorgeous sunny day and we stopped at a few lookouts to enjoy the views.

The leaves were turning and this scenic route was worth the time to enjoy. Can be a little crowded in the fall. We got some great photos

There was snow on the top at the highest point on the pass. Traveling the highway is always interesting and has some great views.

Some good hiking spots, and beautiful scenery. It was fun to stop and walk on the rocks in the rapids.

Nice drive year round. Many scenic overlooks, trails to waterfalls and other scenic places, and good campgrounds. The highway is well maintained in the winter. The only negative is that the highway can be a parking lot on the weekends during leaf peeper season.

I didn't see one. There a many pull offs and camping stops along the way. Perhaps somewhere in there.

We came out of Conway to get to the highway. You will pass a water fall on the right side and there is public parking.
