Taking my in-laws out for lunch turned out to be a perfect trip. Lunch at the carriage house then a trolley ride the rest of the way up the mountain to the castle. Awesome day. Wonderful views of New Hampshire's lake region. Amazing. Just amazing.

I am not sure. At the main gate I paid for admission to go and tour the castle. My son and his wife wanted to hike Mt. Roberts which is also on the grounds and I paid for them to tour the castle but they never got back from... More

No, unfortunately! The town has many hotels and B&B's. If you don't mind a little drive you can stay at one of the resorts by the lake.
