You've seen them on quaint calendars and on Christmas cards, so this is the chance to see a working one. It was two minutes off the main road, and worth the side trip.

We saw this river right after a major rainstorm in the area. The river was high and angry. That added to the true beauty of the bridge. This is a must-see if in the area.

While I certainly wouldn't make a special trip to see a covered bridge, this one's in nice condition and there's a spot on the east side where you can get out and take pictures. It's right off the main drag as you come into town...More

The Mechanic Street covered bridge, also known as Israel's River covered bridge, was another of the pretty bridges we visited while in New Hampshire to see the fall foliage.

This bridge is located right off the Main St. of Lancaster, NH. There's a pull off if you want to get out and take pictures.

It's a lovely little covered bridge in a lovely little town. I came to visit the area on Tuesday to see foliage but because there isn't much yet I am on a mission to see as many covered bridges as possible before I leave Friday...More

A short walk from downtown to the bridge over the Israel River. Beautiful views of the river and the bridge. Love to see covered bridges.

Quaint nice area. On the old fashioned side and not a lot of activity in the area. Great foliage in the fall.
