First time and we will be back! Professional staff. No waiting outside. Kept lines moving to get in. Place must have been recently renovated. Nicely painted. Beautiful inside. Carpet and chairs were clean. Good place to see a show.

This theater is very “mom and pop” but prettier. It’s a well-funded, cultural hub in a small town, and it rarely brings a huge crowd for any film. Whoever selects which films to show always orders the best films, ones up for the most Oscar...More

This is the most uncomfortable theater I've ever been in. I attempted to see Lewis Black on September 22 2018. We had balcony seats. Let me tell you, this place was not designed for average sized humans let alone larger or taller ones. People in...More

To those outside of Keene, know that the Colonial Theater is an old theater that has been restored. Movies on the large screen, not the small cinoplex size. Live entertainment of nationally known musicians and performers. Always a comfortable setting for whatever the evening.

We recently went to a dance program e had waited months to see AND we paid for orchestra tickets (top dollar!). When we arrived we could not see the stage from our seats because of the obstruction from the onstage enormous sound system. We could...More

I've been a member for years and am glad to support the Colonial. Whether it is their film series, or quality entertainment -Lyle Lovett, Ronan Tynan, Natalie MacMaster in the past few months- it's always enjoyable. Staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful and concessions...More

Our first visit and we saw a Lions Club benefit musical, The Little Mermaid. It was easy to buy tickets online but I was not impressed with the convenience fee requirement. I chose will- call to save on the mail fee. The inside is smaller...More

I would guess it depends on who you see. We saw Blue Oyster Cult and a couple of the performers did autographs right after the show. Better to come prepared to get autographs.
