To those outside of Keene, know that the Colonial Theater is an old theater that has been restored. Movies on the large screen, not the small cinoplex size. Live entertainment of nationally known musicians and performers. Always a comfortable setting for whatever the evening.

We recently went to a dance program e had waited months to see AND we paid for orchestra tickets (top dollar!). When we arrived we could not see the stage from our seats because of the obstruction from the onstage enormous sound system. We could...More

Our first visit and we saw a Lions Club benefit musical, The Little Mermaid. It was easy to buy tickets online but I was not impressed with the convenience fee requirement. I chose will- call to save on the mail fee. The inside is smaller...More

Came here to see tape face. What an awesome venue. Been to the Wilbur in Boston, I would choose Colonial theater any day. The entrance is large and accommodating for large crowds, staff is pleasant (expected for small town/city living) and the seats are wide,...More

We went there to see a movie. There is a long sloping lobby and elegant decor. It is one big theater, not cut up into little theaters. We live nearby so we're hoping to see some concerts or comedy there soon.

An old refurbished theater with comfortable seating even for a bigger person, chaperoned by a friendly helpful staff. They have something for everyone and a trip back in time to what theaters once looked like. I have seen plays, comedy, concerts, speakers, movies, hypnotists, and...More

I would guess it depends on who you see. We saw Blue Oyster Cult and a couple of the performers did autographs right after the show. Better to come prepared to get autographs.
