This is a relatively short hike to wonderful views from long rocky areas so there is plenty of room to find your own private picnic spot on the rocks. Steep climb up but do-able by fit people and agile dogs.

Yes it's late March and Black Mountain's slopes are fabulous! The conditions are still prime and not as many skiers heading north at this time of year, Spring skiing at its best so take full advantage!

Nice ski area for families. Came by to check out the snow sculptures which were right at the base of the skiing.

Black Mountain is a classic old school New England ski mountain. The trails can be narrow and tree lined. The lifts are small and slower compared to the other resorts nearby. There is plenty of challenging terrain for advanced skiers and green trails for beginners....More

This is a great place for beginners particularly or maybe even intermediate skiers. The trails are not too difficult and the people here are very friendly and helpful
