This is a great way to spend a day outdoors. You can take a lesson if you've never skied. Snowshoes are also available. Prices are very reasonable and extensive trails. Also food and drink options off of some of the trails.

We skied two days this past weekend with horrible snow conditions. We were surprised there were any trails open but we skied the Ellis River trail on Friday. It wasn't great but was very good for what the facility had to work with. We will...More

My husband and I spent a day Xc skiing in Jackson and had a fabulous time. The trails were great - considering it has not been a great snow year so far- and were beautiful. We skied along a river for most of the time-...More

Despite lots of bare ground in the town of Jackson, the Ellis trail and Prospect Farm had surprisingly good conditions yesterday.

The Jackson Ski Touring Center is a XC skier's dream - when there is snow. Although they groom, they do not make snow. You can ski to your heart's content when there is adequate cover. I have spent many an hour skiing these trails. There...More

We went to Jackson the week of Saint Patrick's day. I've read the poor reviews and I totally disagree. This trip was our 7th visit to Jackson. As always the Foundation's staff are friendly and helpful with trail advice and in the waxing room. The...More

This is a wonderful resource for XC skiers. However, if you are new to the area or to the sport, make sure you get well oriented, they do not do this very well if you don't know to ask. For example, make sure you check...More

We stayed in town for two nights on a whim and decided to take a skiing lesson for the heck of it. The staff in the ticketing/rental center were very helpful and excited for us to try the sport. Our instructor, Sally, was great and...More
