Now I know what they do with golf courses in the winter! Trails were awesome, our instructor was patient and taught us a lot. Being our first time doing XC, at no point did we feel uncomfortable or out of place. Nice staff, all very helpful and an easy process.

we used to do the Ellis River trail to Dana Place Inn, over 20 years ago. While Dana Place has closed, this trail is still excellent and well-maintained, and offer about 15 km roundtrip of easy to intermediate skiing.

My first time cross country skiing. The lesson was wonderful and after about an hour the instructor set us free on the trails. A nice option, much cheaper than down hill. It was so wonderful to get outside for the day in the middle of winter!

This was my second time coming to Jackson for cross-country skiing. Both times I skied for three days in a row. Both times it was really cold the first two days (-10 on the first morning the first time) and really warm after that (50 degrees on the third day this time). Their ski system is very extensive and is... More

We spent two days skiing at Jackson over the MLK weekend- Friday and Saturday. We were not even sure there would be skiing Friday and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff had wisely opted to only groom a few trails in the woods up on Carter Notch Road and they were beautiful. We skied the Boggy Brook Trail. It was... More

Took the intro class for only $8 more than rental/pass and it was really worth it. Very enjoyable even though the skiing conditions were poor due to a thaw/freeze.

Over the xmas holiday, we spent 2 afternoons on the xc trails. Enjoyed visiting the cocoa cabin. Our main issue is that the rental equipment made for a painful experience. We hadn't visited here for about 6 years. The new equipment is extremely narrow with boots that have no ankle support. Both times, the trails didn't have groomed tracks so... More

Jackson does a great job of grooming their far flung trail network on 150+ km of trails, hitting the right balance of service, yet keeping costs manageable. We skied here on New Years Weekend 2016-17 and luckily they got dumped with about 16" of snow on the Thursday By Saturday we had some of the best skiing ever and most... More

Jackson Ski Touring, an honest to god non-profit which utilizes the land of the town, the U.S. Forest Service and private landowners, provides a diverse mix of nordic/ cross country skiing. They have several state of the art grooming machines and the pros that know how to use them. Snow gods permitting, the trails are pristine and can lead to... More
