The Imp Trail Loop is a classic one day loop in the autumn season perfect for enjoying the fall foliage, but I have hiked it in the summer as well and the views are just as enjoyable. The trail could use some work to smooth...More

Go up the Imp Face side, as the trail is really steep, while the other side is much less harsh on the knees. Good views, as always in the late spring/early summer lots of bugs. Middle Carter is not much further (in terms of elevation),...More

The foliage was excellent although we had to go further north, but the country side was spectacular.

Probably the best views of the Presidentials I've seen. We were blessed w/a clear day, too. However (and it's a big however), in retrospect, I would have made this an out and back instead of a loop. Went down the south trail. After it intersects...More

Hiked this quite a few years ago. It isn't over 4000 feet (so it gets ignored by some hikers), but the views are worth it. A good longer hike for families, or half (or less) day hike for a fit person who hikes regularly.

It was a nice hiking trail. There was plenty of wildlife and interesting things to see. The fellow hikers were friendly.

Hiked this many years ago, probably could not make it now. Difficult trail but worth the effort the scene is magnificent.

Your kids can handle this one. Its a nice loop. The whole thing is about 5 hours if you are not rushing.

Nice day trip loop on typical White Mountain trails. Lots of variety and pretty scenery. A good warm up hike, hike with kids, or for a quick adventure after work in the summer (if you're in shape and can move right along!)
