Echo lake is a wonderful beach surrounded by mountains. They have a reasonably priced concession stand. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. The beach itself is also very clean and relaxing. The reason for a 4 out of 5 is the fact that the...More

If your going to swim, it would be ok. The wind from the mountains makes this lake a tough place. If your trying to fish, you spend your trip trying to paddle as you get blown everywhere. The store DOES NOT carry bait! Good luck...More

Short drive from our hotel. We visited often as is so peaceful and easy to get to. Bring a book and relax and read in this little piece of peaceful heaven. Parking spots within steps to the lake.

I went to Echo Lake twice. The first time around 6 P.M. There were paddle boats for hire. There were several people there, enjoying the water and the beach. The next morning, before the sun started to wake up, I went back. I was the...More

Only stop if you combine your visit with another attraction. Easy stop off point close to the "Old Man of the Mountain". Don't expect a beach like the seaside. It's a lake, so impression is very much dependent on weather. Nice hot sunny day, it's...More

Echo Lake Beach is another beautiful place to visit when in New Hampshire. We were there in the fall and would have liked to see more of the fall colors but still a beautiful lake.

It should be opened - visited many places like this during off season. No barrier for site seeing - but the facilitators won't be there for any questions or help.
