made an unexpected pit stop here on the way home from Mt. Washington. We did not travel far along the lake but stayed on the bridge to take some amazing pictures. There was a local couple rowing their canoe as we got there. Another man was fishing. We were lucky enough to meet another local with a BEAUTIFUL Ford Model... More

There is a really nice parking area to the west of the lake. If you time it right, the lighting and the view are worthy of a framed photo on your wall (like we did). Stop and enjoy a cup of coffee and relax in nature...without the mosquitos! (don't leave trash...this is a special place)

On the day we stopped by it was rainy and foggy... but this is clearly a place to bring a camera... There's one small public area with parking and another larger area with "parking for Tamworth Residents only."

Driving south from Conway on NH-16, Chocorua Lake can be seen from the road. Don’t pass it by – stop for a break. How I wish we had had the luxury of more time to spend the morning enjoying the views and walking at the water’s edge. The brilliant fall foliage of Mount Chocorua and other nearby peaks reflect beautifully... More

WOW! We lucked up driving by here. We quickly found a spot to pull over to take in the beauty. It was a cloudy, sunny day and you couldn't tell which way was up with the pretty reflection. Love. Take a moment to soak it in.

This park and the Echo Lake State Parks were my favorite this fall! Especially for photographing the reflection of the fall colors in the lake. There were a couple of trails we saw, but I couldn't hike them due to a sprained ankle on and earlier trail. So... all we saw were beautiful visions from the main walk ways. There... More

Mt Chocorua is one of the great scenic spots on the way north on rt 16. While the picnic area along the side of the lake is for residents only, the parking area next to the bridge is for visitors. The view of the lake and mountain and pictures on the bridge area some of the best scenery around. If... More

Lake Chocorua is a nice place to stop to have a picnic to or from a trip to North Conway. The scenery is fantastic. It is worth a stop for taking pictures of the lake or Mt Chocorua.

The lake is quiet and does not allow any motors and as such makes it perfect for kayaking and animal sightings...
