Beautiful crystal clear lake. Excellent for swimming or kayaking. One of the most picturesque lakes in the area with Mount Chocorua as a backdrop.

We were on our way back to Boston and we saw the sign and pulled in. There was no one else about so it was a peaceful, scenic view of the lake. We spent some little time taking in the scenery and enjoying the solitude....More

Such a reliably decent hike up Mt. Chocorua, and that lake shines more higher you go. There are many access points for swimming and fishing/boating- just make sure your certs and licenses are up to date and get out there.

The view of Mt. Chocorua reflected in Lake Chocorua (in the village of Chocorua!) was used on the NH National Park Quarter. As you come north on route 16, watch for the pull-off area on the left side of the road, where the elevated view...More

My husband and I love to go to this spot and look over the lake at Mount Chocorua. It is very romantic. My kids like to go fish off the bridge. It is nice and peaceful.

Right off Rt. 16, parking for about 12 cars/trucks. Put ins located along the shore as well as nice little spots to picnic. Water was like glass! Gorgeous views of the mountains! Lovely way to spend a couple of hours.

This is such an iconic place - one cannot/should not travel on Rte 16 without taking "the" photo, with bridge in the near background, Lake Chocorua in the middle background, and Mt. Chocorua in the far background, at any time of year. This particular time...More

Visited on our last day before heading home so didn't have long but will be sure to visit again and for longer next time as there are some great walks with truly stunning views over the lake and mountains

made an unexpected pit stop here on the way home from Mt. Washington. We did not travel far along the lake but stayed on the bridge to take some amazing pictures. There was a local couple rowing their canoe as we got there. Another man...More

There is a really nice parking area to the west of the lake. If you time it right, the lighting and the view are worthy of a framed photo on your wall (like we did). Stop and enjoy a cup of coffee and relax in...More
