We had to do something that was touristy in Virginia City...and this was about what we expected it to be. Not really very good. There were several videos playing, which had some interesting historical information on Virginia City, but the video quality was awful. They were very old - hosted by Merlin Olsen and Charlie Jones! There was quite a... More

Such a cool place, and so much stuff it definitely deserves more than one visit. I'm a history buff so it was a must see for me! Make sure to have a good hour to wander around and see it all.

This museum is very interesting and only $3 at the time we were there. The relics of past are all here and is a worthwhile stop.

This is a large museum, with a lot of historical artifacts in relation to life in Virginia City during the Gold Rush. We spent a good hour looking at all of the displays, and watching a short film.

The lady who was there to great us that day was very nice and knowledgeable about the Museuam. It was worth the few dollars to see the display of the mines in the area and where the big finds of silver were found.

Has some really neat and interesting antiques to set you in the old feeling of the way it was back in Virginia City's prime! Medicine bottle, lamps, clothes, men's tea cups that have a place so their mustache doesn't get dirty. So interesting to see! Also huge visiual of all the mines and tunnels here. Really is amazing. Hard to... More

This museum is really more like an antique store but you can't touch or buy any of the antiques. There is a LOT of stuff to see and I must admit there were a couple of things that made me very excited (like when I figured out the weird little dishes I acquired years ago and use as butter dishes... It was just the way it was. No better no worse. It could have been the best of times or the worst of times but it was just what it was. Wasn't it.
