Decent number of animals and lots of information available. Not all animals where there in November. Good for about 2 hours of fun.

My daughters (1.5 & 3) had a fantastic time here! The animals seem very well taken care of and have lots of space. The park is clean and its easily walk-able; even with small children! Would definitely recommend a visit.

We are repeat visitors as we live locally. My kids are 6 and 4 and enjoy the animals and the playground. The recent food concession addition is welcome as the next nearest place to purchase food is a ten minute car ride away. If you...More

We saw a sign on the highway for this animal park and decided to give it try. The place is clean, has huge enclosures and the animals look well cared for. Peacocks wander all over the place as you walk around the spacious facility. They...More

We went at 5pm when it was nice and quiet. Great value at CAN$4.75 per person. Animal welfare clearly highly on the agenda as the cages / enclosures were large. We loved seeing the moose, black bears and beavers. Very impressed.

Stopped in here for a last minute time killer and was well worth it. Lots of variety, great price and just long enough of a walk

We only had a week in Nova Scotia and didn't know if there was anywhere nearby where we could see moose, beaver, wolf or bear until a local in Halifax told us that she liked taking her children to Shubenacadie Wildlife Park. We checked the...More

I would allow at least 2 hours to walk around the park, but almost three would be better We were there around 3 pm in the afternoon, and most of the animals were sleeping or hiding. It was disappointing. Contact the park... More

I am wondering how to get there by public transportation. A google map search told me that I would have to walk for 11 hours from Waverley road, Dartmouth....lol. I can bus it as far as possible from the Dartmouth bridge terminal...just wondering what are the options. I dont have a car and nobody to drive me.

Hi Dana, Unfortunately there is no public transportation that goes near the Wildlife Park. The best way would be to either rent a car or take a cab and get them to come back and pick you up. If you are leaving downtown... More
