Skied here 3 days ...love the trails for all level of skiers which is what we have in my family....great dining and bar experience at the resort as well

This is a local GEM! Just 20-25 minutes from Reno, this IS where the snow is! The base elevation is 8260 feet, and there are lots of runs, with varying options. The views from the top are amazing, and I appreciate the "home town" feel...More

I went snowboarding at Mount Rose Christmas Eve 2017. I was amazed at the lack of crowds compared to Heavanly and Northstar. The snow was great and everything was open except for the chutes. All the lift operators were friendly. I even forgot my season...More

We had a great day at Mt. Rose! Lots of vertical drop and nice variety of runs from beginner to expert. Only a few main chairs to get up the mountain and feed all the runs, so it was a bit crowded at the top....More

Definitely stop by and check it out, have lunch and walk around. My kids all worked there growing up and we often we go for the Mexican food served in the bar area. If your kids are little, there is plenty of room to play... More

I've never encountered altitude sickness at Mt. Rose or anywhere, and I regularly backpack at altitudes of 8,000-10,000 feet. It won't be an issue.

Hello adventurer! It will take approximately 20-25 min. To get to Mt Rose from GSR. Another 10 to Chickadee Ridge. I would speculate there will still be snow in a month. We just got 5-6 inches in the higher elevations... More
