You know I enjoyed seeing the animals at this zoo but at the same time I wanted to free them all. They were all hot and looked dirty. I think they need to make different arrangements to keep the animals cool. I don't think laying in a metal shed when it is 95 degrees is appropriate. It's $10 to get... More

This is a great zoo just 20-30 miles north of Reno where non native animals have been brought to live. Great for the whole family.

We were in the area and heard that there was a little zoo. We love animals so we were naturally excited. It took about 10 minutes inside to figure out that this place should be shut down. Such a small space for all the animals they had. A lot of the animals seem sick and unhealthy. By far the saddest... More

This is a cute park and the staff is very friendly. Peacocks run around and able to see up close. Lots of different animals to see up close.

Though it's nice to see the animals, this place encourages people to own wild animals! Very bad! They also breed their animals! Again, bad! And the pens are way too small!! If you want to see a great place! Go to the Animal Ark, which is only a few minutes away from this "zoo". The animal ark is a wildlife... More

This is a zoo run by volunteers, so come with that expectation. You get very close to the animals, and they seem comfortable and well kept. The zoo is much cleaner than I imagined, and the staff is very kind and caring. This would be a very fun stop with little ones who maybe couldn't handle a big zoo.

When you hear the word zoo you think of these big places that you can stay all day and be amazed by 100's of differant animals and have long walks so if that's what you are planning then head back to the drawing board. I would class this place as more of a little sanctuary or even someones house with... More

Interesting collection of animals. It reminds me of an eclectic farm. The staff is friendly and helpful. Some of the animals in the petting zoo are a little large and may be too aggressive for the 6 and under children without an adult present. The pellet feed bucket is great for grabbing the attention of all the members of the... More

Not very big, limited animals. You can get pretty up close, however. And they have a little area where you can bring your lunch in to sit with your kids, A lot of the animals seemed sedated. Not open year round.

Animals and staff are very nice, but they obviously lack funding. It felt very good that we visited them and payed $20 for entrance (2 adults). We also bought some souvenirs. Feels like this place really needs all the $ we could afford to spend there. Animals: there is a couple of pretty unique features: ligers. They are an inbreed... More
