This caught us by surprise, compared to the shabbiness downtown. The Truckee River was really flowing with the winter runoff. It is a very pleasant walk, dog friendly, and quite pretty.

The Truckee River Walk is spectacular. Beautiful walking path just above the river. Great walk and view for spring and Sumer. Enjoy the view and walk in approximately one hour.

I'm not sure how long this beautiful river walk has been in Reno, but it is very scenic and well laid out. It's easily accessible for most and is a great way to get those steps in! Nice cafes to choose from. Great way to get away from those smokey casinos.

Beautiful and a very pleasant stroll for anyone. A refreshing view in the middle of town. Grab some coffee and have a sit by the river.

Beautiful to walk along the crooked mile along the river and down through the artists area where you can see unique sculptures made out of unique items. Along the walk and across the "island " bridges we saw a surfer in an eddy rapid. Just a beautiful day and such a nice walk.

The structure and displays are nice but parts of this area are not kept up the way they should be, a light post was broken, debris on the sitting steps and a serious homeless problem detracts from the scenery. I had a man approach me for money with my children and made for an awkward situation.

Yes, the temperatures were in the mid fifties and breezy in early March, yet the walk was nice since we were dressed properly with jackets and light gloves. Wildlife- Mallards, Common Mergansers, Common Goldeneyes, wee present along Truckee River Walk, as well as a Black Phoebe, Song Sparrows, and non-native Rock Pigeons and House Sparrows. There are shops and eateries... More

Relaxing and absolutely beautiful! There are reatroomsas well benches along the way to just sit back and take in the sights. We also enjoyed sitting on the rocks to watch the river with our fur baby

Great place to just walk along the river, collect your thoughts and dream. Many activities at Wingfield Park (along the walk) happen in the summer, especially in July during Artown in Reno. There are Kayaking adventures in the river and it's fun to watch or I believe you can rent Kayaks too. In late summer when the river is low... More

Walked down the River walk and its so full. It was a beautiful day and the water is running fast. Thank goodness for rails. There is plenty of places historical and places to eat and lots of shopping. Most locals have their hidden gems in the city. You know, places you always visit for the memories and commonality. I am... More
