Small Intimate Experience for Stargazing

I went a couple of weeks ago and saw the show Space Next. I really enjoyed it and plan on going back to see the show on Black Matter. A small but fun Planetarium.

Is a member of the Las Vegas Astronomical Society, I regularly visit the planetarium as that is where the society holds its monthly meetings. I also occasionally visit to see planetarium shows. Who would've thought that a planetarium would be located in one of the most light polluted locations on earth? The planetarium offers good planetarium shows which are frequently... More

Took the kids here to see Saturn and its moons when they were very visible this summer. The clarity and power of the telescope was amazing. It was like Saturn was so close and so clear. Truly amazing to see, and the kids loved it. We watched both shows before going out and they were great. Although I believe one... More

Went to see the "Cowboy Astronomer" presentation - apparently a new show. It was the first time we were there - poor directions on where the planetarium is on campus. It is extremely small - around 70 seats - and relatively low ceiling. Seats are old college stationary ones - nothing reclines - horrible on the neck. The show was... More

This is a small planetarium but for me that was part of the charm. The presentations are great and it's obvious that the presenters are very passionate about the subject matter. Best part is after the presentations, they take you out to gaze through some of the school's telescopes and tell you about a number of the heavenly bodies that... More

I've lived in Las Vegas for 20 years and didn't know we had a Planetarium, I went with my son's Cubscout's troop. I think the kids were really impressed with the entire experience. I will definetely will take them again. It was great!

It was a small room.. but that was okay. The part that could have been better was the light in the projector. The movie we saw looked like 50% dim and was a little fuzzy. It was a great movie though! Very scientific... about evolution. Vegas doesn't have a big science oriented community - and the funding will never go... More

This was not what I expected. Small planetarium, probably old. The program was just a movie - like a very small IMAX. The movie was about planets. Tiny gift shop. Our kids really liked it though and want to go back.
