Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The blackjack dealer was so weird and rude. The cocktail waitress wanted to charge me for an espresso martini because I was "only platnium" -- this is ridiculous. A man who was "diamond" status ordered my drink that was free in February. I wanted to be there to support those who were going to be laid off, but these two made it very difficult.

This used to be my favorite CET property to play at given it had the best table game rules and drink service.
Things have now changed, and not for the better. On my most recent trip a few months ago (April), and notwithstanding the signs notating 3:2 blackjack and 100X odds, those are no more. Blackjack is ALL 6:5, even at the $50 level, which is astounding. I also didn't see the DD (double deck) games which had been prevalent for a number of years but rather, CSM (continuing shuffle machine) games which were green chip and 6:5.
Drink service had been one of the other hallmarks of this place, but alas, only one cocktail waitress was working some 75% of the time on all three days I went - mind you, this was Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which it should be a no brainer are usually the busiest days. The drinks being comped are now also, severely diluted. I spoke with multiple cocktail waitresses, as well as 2 pit bosses I've come to know over the last several years, and they all uniformly said the same thing - "El Dorado's take over has been one cost cutting measure after another".
I normally bring 5k for a weekend, and understanding that I'm going to lose it, expect to have some fun. Fun was prevalent at The Cromwell for a handful of years, but unfortunately, it's now a thing of the past. I'm taking my business to MGM and am not coming back, I would suggest that, other table games players especially, do the same.
Sad to say this is the current state affairs at The Cromwell, but I suppose all good things must come to an end. I'm going back to Vegas next week and, regrettably, The Cromwell will not be receiving my business then or henceforth.

The Cromwell is advertising 100 times odds on craps, 3/2 on blackjack and other things that are misleading. Dice game is now 3,4, and 5 times odds. Blackjack is 6/5. Worst part is they still have signs up that are not correct. Room was ok but no real reason to play there now because no better gamble than any where else. I can’t believe the gamble is now better just about anywhere not called Las Vegas.

Only played slots while in Vegas at the Cromwell. They seemed to be a little tight, so didn't go back after the first day. Staff was friendly though and overall it is a very clean and nice location. I would recommend to visit.

Small boutique casino hotel in arguably one of the best locations on the strip, sadly let down by the actions of one of its staff.
Would love to give the hotel a higher score but after a short conversation with the rudest cocktail waitress I have ever met, we decided to leave.
We will be spending our money in a hotel with friendlier staff, and I would advise everyone else to do the same.

This is my favorite new casino. Even though it has been open for a few years, it is newer than many of it's neighbors. I like the intimate atmosphere. Sometimes it is a little dark inside (I guess for the ambience), but overall a friendly environment.

We visited in March but did not stay at the Cromwell this time. We have several times and always get great service. We gambled here many times during the weekend and the service is just amazing! Everyone is so kind and treats you like family. Kent one of the floor hosts is wonderful. We have had Natalie as our waitress for years and she is the best! So nice, efficient and makes us feel at home. The bartender Angelina mixes a great martini and is always fun to talk with. We will see you all soon! Thanks for everything!

Love the vibe at Cromwell. intimate, friendly and no lines at sports book. never stayed in that hotel since it’s more expensive than Bally’s, Harrahs, Flamingo so I can’t comment on the rooms. easy to get drinks and never crowded. doesn’t have a smoke smell either which is nice.

This used to be the Barbary Coast and is know for being home to Drai's nightclub. Is a little small and dark, but okay otherwise. I think you can get better bang for your buck elsewhere. It is in a good location though.

Great smaller casino right on the strip!! I was there in the morning (when I do most of my gambling) and there were hardly any people playing slots or table games, but that's true of a lot of casino's in the early morning. Nice selection of slots, both newer and older plus table games. Drink service was the best for the casinos I visited. Cocktail servers very prompt and friendly. Slots did not disappoint!

There’s not even a directory showing hotel amenities in the room to look at. I called the front desk from my room and a recording came in as if I was calling from outside abd I was in a cue, I hung up.

What are the drink rules at the video poker bar?
Written 8 April 2017
Typical Vegas strip Casino. They have a monitor light for how much you're playing. I put in a hundred, so I was served with no questions, but I believe they're doing one comp drink per $20 played.
