Great Luck at Ellis Island. Got tired of strip read where Ellis Island had $7 99 steak dinner special. Went to casino signed up players Was told needed to gamble $5 to get $2 off steak dinner. Great food here!! It is a bit off the strip, but worth the walk. Not impressed with the brewery. Beers were only $2.50.

Hidden gem and the portions are great! I would have given 5 stars; unfortunately, our waitress (Jennifer) provided terrible service. Jennifer accidentally spilled tea on my wife, and also, failed to remember our garlic bread. Then we waited another 5 to 8 minutes for salt and pepper, while our meals were getting cold. When we finally received the tab, Jennifer left again for a long time, and continued on with other customers without acknowledging us. So we just left cash on the table and walked out, letting management know money was left on the table.…

I have NO idea how this is rated as high as it is and has a Travelers Choice Award. I had this on our list of things to do while in Vegas, because of the great reviews, I read here on Tripadvisor. We went to Ellis Island Casino, on a Friday after 6:00 and it was completely packed standing room only. We managed to get drinks and walked around a bit & stood around drinking our drinks since there was no where to sit. Known for it's exceptional food & prices we decided we better get on the waiting list to eat. The list was a 2 1/2 hour wait, which was fine, we kind of knew that going in & planned on having drinks & playing some slots. We got tired of standing & drinking so went to the Sports Bar and sat in there, until our reservations were ready. Unfortunately because of Covid, all the fun things such as Kareoke have been cancelled. The Sports Bar was not busy & service was slow but we still enjoyed being able to sit and drink away from some of the crazy commotion & the drinks are very affordable compared to $10 for a beer on the Strip. So now we go to dinner & have been waiting in anticipation for this GREAT meal. We all pretty much knew we wanted the Prime Rib Special. So now I'll cut to the chase, the Prime Rib was the worst Prime Rib I have ever tasted & our group of 6 agreed it did not even closely taste like Prime Rib. It was flavorless, tough & on the medium cold side, we did not order it well done so it wasn't due to that. It reminded me of a poorly cooked, tough roast in the oven. Prime Rib should just about melt in your mouth. The Au Jus was cold & flavorless. The mashed potatos were ice cold & plopped on your plate with a ice cream scooper with cold brown gravy, it reminded me exactly of a bad school lunch. The side of green beans were not edible not one person in our party ate them. I have no idea what all the hype here is about? It must be huge portions of food for cheap? (It certainly can't be for how great it taste while eating it) The Hot Brownie Dessert with ice cream however was to die for! I do have to say our waitress was awesome, friendly & funny & did her job perfectly, (the terrible meal was of NO fault of hers) so we made sure to leave her a good tip. So my advice is if you just want to sit & gamble and have cheap drinks & dessert this is your place otherwise I would skip it. I guess you "gotta go to know"!!! I can find better old Vegas properties such as Casino Royal right on the strip with no Lyft Rides and are far better.…
