Visit the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary and take the whole family. They are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe-haven for animals of all types. They are serving the public Interest by preventing cruelty to animals that have been abandoned or neglected. As a nonprofit, they do not have the finances to provide elaborate enclosures and displays, but the they... More

This is the second time we have visited here. Our young Grandson loved it especially when we got one of the cockatiel to say 'Hello Charlie' . You only pay a donation as an entrance fee, so I sincerely hope visitors do not abuse this. The reserve is well laid out and all the animals and birds look well cared... More

The Gilcrease Sanctuary is worth visiting is you are a local or a tourist. I couldn't be happier to pet little billy goats, admiring several llamas observe you from the lookout of a small hill. It's fun talking with very vocal and colorful macaws, cockatiels, love birds, and amazon parrots. Many of the birds are in portable cages so you... More

This is a fun place you would not expect in Vegas. Go pick your own fruit and veggies. Fun free hay ride around the small property. The food and cider is amazing. They also take credit card.

When it's not hot, good to spend an hour looking at and feeding the animals. We had a family of ducks and baby ducks following us around the whole sanctuary, adorable. Feed is $1 and entrance fees are low, definitely worth the trip with small children

Very nice place. Took my daughter and nephew they are are under 2 years old. They liked the goats and chicken walking around freely my daughter loves birds so she was pretty excited the whole time. Staff is really friendly. Over all we had an awesome time wish they had a food court of something like that.

**This review is for the orchard only.** Ahh only in Vegas! What a great treat to live in the desert and be able to pick your own vegetables and fruit. Make sure you wear shoes you are okay with getting dirty, wear sunscreen, a hat and perhaps if you are really into it some gardening tools to make picking easier.... More

This us my third time at this farm. It is relaxed and natural and a good place to take small children. It is totally unsofisticated. Animals are clean and well fed. Some are roaming free, like roosters, hosts, hens. Most are behind fences. Good place!

First, the sanctuary and orchards are not connected at all, except for the name Gilcrease. We visited during a non-peak season, and were really disappointed. The pond is overflowing with animals, and their waste is everywhere. Not sure there is a single spot in the place to sit down, which is not covered with duck and chicken droppings. It is... More
