Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a review of the second week of reopening the casino during the pandemic. The casino was pretty empty of players. I could not get a decent bonus or play and quickly lost my play money. I thought the gaming regulations and whatnot would protect me as a player even after the machines had been silent for four month, but it wasn’t so. I think they do have to be fed before the can start handing out bigger bonuses to keep you playing. I feel like a bigger fool than a normal gambler is, I should have been more conservative in my play (3$ bets).
TLDR: Posting as a warning to perhaps be very conservative in your play, perhaps the machines are fair due to regulation but need more money for the fair payouts to happen.

I've been to Vegas more times than I can count. I went to Mandalay Bay many years ago and it seemed ok. The funny thing about Vegas is that casinos change a lot over time. They get old, the machines aren't updated, and the vibe changes. This is true for Mandalay Bay.
Over the years I went one other time and it was dead so we haven't been in a long time until this trip. We decided to pop in and see if anything had changed. No it hasn't and if anything it's gotten worse. It's dark, dated and all the machines are really far apart so it seems more empty than it is. To be fair, there was a decent amount of some modern slot machines but the worst part of all was the smell. I have never smelled a casino so nauseating in any casino anywhere! It was a sickening perfumey smell they are using to cover up the smoke I guess but it was sickening to me. We could not stay and left pretty quick. Mandalay Bay's vibe is dead, it needs better lighting and a complete refresh in the worst way. We will not return.

Wow! Finally decided to visit Vegas in September and all I have to say is don’t play slots here! Every place we went had machines so tight no one was even getting bonuses and the money was gone so fast it was sad. No time to even have fun...... This was true of every place we went and everyone we talked with. I do better at the local Indian casino. Drinks while gambling were few and far between even though it wasn’t busy. The casino had good safety/health measures in place, but Vegas just isn’t Vegas right now.....

Overcharged for my room. Steven at the table games was a miserable staff member. The worst service I have ever received at a casino in vegas. I would have rather stayed at motel 6 than a place that double charged and a dealer that does not want to be there.

Mandalay Bay Casino did not have very many people. But the cigarette smoke was amazing. Must have terrible filtration. Was not able to gamble at the tables or even the slot machines because of the amount of smoke in the air.

Nice updated casino with free parking (at the moment). I have to admit, like other reviewers, the machines while plenty of them and were clean and had plenty of people walking around cleaning between players were no go pay out or free spins. Did not spend much there since after 20 bucks and no so much as a free spin, I was out of there.

It was our third stop in Las Vegas and unfortunately, the last. After seeing three, more casinos have little to add. Yet, the ambience in each of these hotels, the architecture, decor, customer service, experience, turns out to make a difference. Wish we had more time.
Tip. Mandalay Bay connects indoors with Luxor.

Serious safety incident
Many staff in casino unhappy. Just want your money. Pretty sure someone spiked are drink. Staff takes advantage of people who are clearly intoxicated. I lost a lot of respect for this casino won't be going back.

On 2/01/2017 Prostitutes were everywhere, horrible and security were standing by and did nothing. About 2:30am I complained to 3 Black young officers that were flirting with 2 cocktail waitresses for over 20 minutes and they look at me like I was annoying them for interrupting their flirting.
I was at the Mizuya Lounge trying to have some drinks with my business associates but the prostitutes were annoying, constantly continued approaching us.
When I told the prostitutes, I was going to call security, they were so braved and replied “go right ahead, they don’t care”. The same 3 young black Security officers now with another more oldest black officer were standing about 30 feet from us but they were too busy flirting with the same cocktail waitresses that they failed to do their job.
About 3:10am to 5:30am you can only see 2 officers on the casino, one at the security desk and another officer walking around, the feeling is very unsafe.
