About
Saxe Theater is a $34 million performance venue located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. It’s one of two theaters owned and operated by Las Vegas show producer, David Saxe. Born into a showbiz family, Saxe literally grew up backstage. His mom was a showgirl in Folies Bergere and his dad, a bandleader for The Rat Pack. Saxe launched his first show on the Strip at the age of 17, making him the youngest producer in the city’s history. During the last three decades, David has produced more than 100 shows in Las Vegas and all over the world including the award winning VEGAS! THE SHOW which plays nightly at Saxe Theater.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This variety show takes you back to the beginnings of Las Vegas and the major performances that played Vegas. It is a nice musical walk down memory lane with great singers and costumes. The acoustics in the theater could definitely be better, though and was a little too harsh for my ears.

We enjoyed a great show and a drink in Groupon package deal. It was amazing to see old fashioned stylish outfits, dancing and great singing. It was hard not to tap to the music, just enough history and feel of the magic of Vegas.

nice theater, buy the stage needs to be further back, stadium style seating, comfortable, but don't pay for the upgrade to VIP, not necessary any seat is good( only about 15 rows of seats) and the further back from the stage the better( to get the panoramic view), Strobe lights on the edge of the stage are eye level and extremely bright

We came to see Vegas the show, which we totally enjoyed! They have a drink menu where they'll include an 18 oz souvenier cup and fill it with a drink for $10 with purchase of your ticket, or it is $15 for a drink if you buy at the show. RIP OFF. #1 You can walk in with a drink from elsewhere
#2 they only put about 8 oz of cheap wine in my cup and just handed my husband a cheap bottle beer, no cup. Of course they lead you to believe you're getting 18 oz of beverage. Don't fall for it.

We are sorry to hear you felt overcharged on the drinks. We do not allow outside drinks into the showroom, and try to keep our beverages affordable compared to the rest of The Vegas Strip. We hope you would consider joining us for another production at The Saxe or V Theater soon.

Went to see Vegas The Show Saturday night 7 pm with VIP seats purchased through Travelzoo. Pluses: Intimate showroom with good views of an entertaining show. Minuses: No straightforward entrance as you are directed to an entrance where they try to sell you pics by the fake Vegas sign. Then you are directed to the real entrance designed to sell you over priced cocktails. Then about 15 minutes before 7 you are finally let in and unless you take elevator have to walk up several flights of stairs. When show finally starts (late of course) they are still ocassionally obstructing your concentration while cocktail marketing goes on.

We went to see Las Vegas the show. We bought tickets at booth outside Planet Hollywood where we were staying. We paid extra for VIP seating. When we got there an older couple were sitting in our seats, the usher showed them their correct seats one row up. When we sat down after a few minutes my daughter said her seat felt damp. The show had started and was very crowded and she thought maybe the couple that was in our seats had spilled their waters. She went to the bathroom about half way through the show. She had on white pants and noticed that she had a huge yellow and brown stain on her pants from her seat that smelled like urine and feces.
She was gone for quite awhile and an usher came down and told me what the problem was. He bent down and smelled her seat and confirmed it was soiled. MICHAEL MOORE the manager was supposed to come and talk with us. We waited around after show to talk to him.....we had to go find him and go over everything with him he took a picture of my daughter's pants. I asked if they had a tee shirt or sweatshirt for her to tie around her waist as we had a long walk through the Miracle Mile to get back to our room and it looked like she had just pooped her pants. He had 2 of the ushers help us find a sweatshirt. My daughter was horrified. Michael took our number and gave us his. He assured us he would be in contact in the am. By 12:30 my daughter called and left a message...nothing. ...She left 2 more messages without a return call. At 4:30 she called the theaters corporate office which finally got us in contact with Michael he said he was still working on a few things and would get back to her by 6:30 p.m. by 8 o'clock that night we still hadn't heard from Michael we went from dinner right back to the theater and tried to contact him. It took forever..... he was trying to weasel his way out of coming down and talking to us...his staff was embarrassed and kept apologizing and indicated that the lack of management and attention to good costumer service happens frequently. When Michael Finally shows up I let him know the most frustrating part of all of this is now him. He indicated he has been busy and they are short a manager.NOT ONCE did he apologize for his lack of customer service. He took down our information and said the best he can do is refund 1/2 of a ticket...who knows when or if that will ever happen. My daughter missed over 1/4 of the show our plans for after the show ruined because she was upset and needed to change, spent the next day hunting down Michael. ..just a bad experience!

It's a great show. We attended the pre-show session for VIP ticket holders, we have very close interaction with magician and it was a great experience. Highly recommend to get VIP ticket.

The show was quite good, though majority was about Disappearing Illusion. Like to have some more traditional magic (e.g., pulling things out from nowhere, floating magician, etc.).
One disappointment was that it did not allow people to come in 30 minutes earlier as promised. Hope one day managers could stand in line for that long, and see whether it makes sense to open door so late.

Both Vegas-The Show and A Tribute to the Beatles were well worth seeing. Good quality singing and musicianship done by all!

This theater is small which means you are close to the stage. The only problem I had was the lounge area. Some of the seating area was very dingy.

Is the VIP seating worth it.What does it give you extra.
Written 20 April 2018
The general admission seating was to the left of the stage in a corner (facing that seating section) and I did not see how you could have a good view of the stage unless maybe you were in the 4-6 seats to the extreme end on the right side facing that section. You'd have to wait by the elevator in hopes of getting in first to make your selection since I've read in these comments general seating is first come, first serve.
Vegas! The Show was very good and well worth the price I paid of $85 per ticket in row J2 & J4 from the Vegas website; Ticketmaster and BestofVegas was even higher. But I may have goten a better price from GroupOn I later discovered. We did not do the dinner VIP.

I want to purchase Groupon tickets to a couple of your shows. They are only general admission and I was wondering how far back those seats are and if we would have a good view of the stage and the show? Also was wondering if we could upgrade Groupon to VIP seating????

I saw Nathan Burton yesterday at the Saxe Theater in LV. Wonderful show, would highly recommend for family members of all ages. I was especially touched by his military tribute that he aired on Showtime channel. Can anyone tell me the song he played over the footage at the show. It was a male singer and the lyrics talked about "coming home".
