Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was one of my favorite casinos for many years past, but Friday night (July 17) was very bad. Staff let the wild ones go wild. Some didn’t wear masks, refused when told to put them on, were rude to others and banged hard on slot machines when they lost—not one person, but it seemed like it was a trend being picked up. Drunks urinated all over the men’s room, threw paper towels around. Attendants did absolutely nothing. People coming in who apparently were being asked questions by security, walked on in and offended them. I couldn’t find any hand sanitizer. The stands were empty. The place was getting crowded too. We left at around midnight as the atmosphere was getting worse. You could see it in people’s faces. Not fun for sure. Where is the security we are used to in Las Vegas casinos?

The Venetian poker room has really gone downhill in recent years. The floor supervisors aren't as strict as they should be and this often leads to confrontations with drunk and/or vulgar guests. Along with the mandatory masks most people are generally cranky here. To support the jackpots an additional $2 is dropped every hand and it gets expensive after a while.

I suppose the casino is nice enough. It is spacious. Do not expect to sit down at a blackjack table for much under $20.00 per hand when they are busy. But hey. This is not a bargain hotel, right? They need to work on fun. When the casino is not busy the employees look like they standing there waiting for a bus. One did smile at me which got them three rather than two stars. Las Vegas is supposed to be fun.

Really? We were at the bar for about 5 minutes, and the bartender told my husband he had to up his bet to $1 a hand if he wanted to drink for free. Really? Really? The machine says we can bet a quarter, so what are you talking about? The guy was so rude over a $3 beer (that's what the ticket said - really), you'd think we'd been sitting there drinking for free all day. He watched what cards we kept (electronic poker) and stood there glaring at us for waaaayyy too long. Lighten up, buddy. Did nobody tell you that we're on vacation and spending money?

I love the Venetian property and public spaces; perfection. However, the slot machines are a different story. A penny slot machine requires a minimum 80c bet. One spin and your dollar is gone. Buyer beware.

"Venetian Las Vegas is known for their professional staff and superb service." This is false. I have never felt welcome here, especially on the Casino floor. This one particular dealer did not reflect any of the values Venetian highlighted. She was very rude and gave me an uncomfortable glare. She thought I didn't understand her mumbles but she was secretly hoping I'll lose and leave the table. What type of service and people are you hiring Venetian? I have never experienced this type of unprofessionalism and never in my life been treated like that. This employee was very unwelcoming, even threatening and made me feel incredibly anxious and uncomfortable. The reviews about rude employees are 100% true. You just got lucky if you didn't come across any during your stay. I wish it didn’t have to come to this but I truly hope Venetian Las Vegas can be better moving forward. This is not acceptable. I hope Venetian will do a better job training and keeping their staff accountable for their actions. Until she's removed, I will never stay or gamble here again. Rude and employees lacking in basic morals and personal characters is alarming and bad for any business.

The casino inside The Venetian is breathtakingly beautiful! Everything is marble, covered in gold, or decorated with crystals. The bartenders were amazing and make Mai Tai drinks in the traditional way like Hawaii. Drinks were reasonably priced too! My husband and I had 2 large cocktails for about $20 altogether.

The Casino at the Venetian is a very upscale experience compared to many other ordinary ones of the Strip. The slots are kept very clean and you always have a person around to get you a free glass of wine or a soft drink. The Lobby of the Venetian may not be in Italy but it makes you feel as if you are there.

Room was dusty, I broke out the first night there!!! Or maybe there had been an animal in the room.. I am allergic to animals, my bed had the top sheet with the tag that goes on the bottom, when I asked the room maid she said; we don't pay attention to those details especially if we are in a hurry, I asked her to come back later to clean the room and she said no!!! I am here now

We had decent winnings (enough to pay for the trip) and a good time at this casino! It is huge, crowded, but spacious. There are a variety of slots that really do pay and we will make this our spot when we return to Las Vegas. I looked for the same slots when I returned to the Chicago area and for a while, they paid but they are so tight here. Can't wait to revisit Vegas and the Venetian!

How can I request something be done special for my husband upon check in to our room, since it’s his 70th birthday. Also our suite has already been made thru AAA. Can we request a room really high with a great view of the strip. Those dates are.
September 1-3rd, out,on the 4th.

Has anybody else had a run in with Brian the bartender. Many guests have told me that he threatens guests often. Why is this guy still employed there?

Is there a fee to ride the gondola? And do you have to be a guest of the hotel to ride the gondola?
Written 9 October 2016
You do not have to be a guest to ride the gondola. There is however a fee and i believe it is around $10-$12 per person.
Written 9 October 2016
It's included in your "resort fee"

si DEVE entrare, altrimenti a Las Vegas c'è poco altro... Nessun costo, tranne che se si gioca. Attenzione i minori di 21 anni non possono accedere alle aree di gioco, ma possono girare liberamente per godersi lo spettacolo!

Do you drink for free if you are gambling?
Written 7 April 2016
Yes if you play video poker at the bar put in $20 and you get a drink or sit at the machine and put in about the same $20 and play a cocktail waitress will get your drink request and bring it to you, but I recommend that you tip $1 a drink to the bar attendant and waitresses for great service as if you tip they will be back and look after you the whole time, tip nothing and you will not see them again, plus they work for their tips but $1 minimum tip is good per drink

Do you drink for free if you are gambling? Thanks.
Written 7 April 2016
Yes if you are gambling including at the casino bars.
This is still in effect but I wonder how much longer the
casinos will continue this practice. I have been going
to Las Vegas for years and it always been the case to
give drinks to gamblers.
