This is considered an easy hike. I'd say it's easy-moderate. Any hike that starts at 7700 feet and goes to 9200 feet is more than just easy. It was great to get away from the heat of Las Vegas with the temps 20-30 degrees cooler...More

We walked this hike slightly unprepared however it was great. The walk up is all a steady incline but the falls (not much water in August) make it feel worthwhile and a nice break before heading back down. It gets busy so go reasonably early...More

There's a pretty significant elevation gain on this hike, but the falls at the end are certainly worth it. It's a pretty easy hike besides the switchbacks. Take your time and breathe in the fresh piney air!

After bragging about this Trail to my sister-in-law, we absolutely love nature. And explaining don't go out there trying to compare this to Zion on or Bryce Canyon. I would give 5 stars however I am only rating it 4 stars for the simple fact...More

Great hike, but really not that easy unless you are young and/or in shape. (Don't believe all these people saying it's an 'EASY' hike--it's not. At least, not if you are really out of shape, and don't hike that often. It's easy for the moderately...More

Don't expect much, but a small hike, and you won't be disappointed . The water is piped to feed the housing development, so it is more of a trickle of what it would have been, and fallen trees never removed take away from the area.

What a fantastic escape from the Vegas heat. Mt. Charleston is such an amazing place to visit anytime of year, but it's especially nice when the valley is hot. Mary Jane Falls trail provides a challenging switchback hike into the peace and solitude that only...More

Make sure you take water...elevation over 8000 ft when you get to the top! Also very rocky...we had hiking boots and I wouldn't recommend wearing anything but!!

I hiked this trail this last Saturday with my Chocolate Lab and it was totally worth it! The first thing I noticed is how for the most part, everyone sticks together and helps one another so it’s almost impossible to get lost. For example: on...More

We hiked this trail going up and up. There were many switch backs, but they were not difficult. Half way up, we asked someone how much further. They thought that we were half way there, but the view was fantastic. We continued up. It was outstanding....More

I did this hike last weekend and would say It is safe if they are used to big walks. There are some parts you would certainly want to hold their hand and help them over some uneven surfaces but we saw lots of young kids... More
