Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For you Vegas veterans out there, you may get tired of the craziness of The Strip and/or Fremont Street. In that case, jump in a cab/uber (or your vehicle) and get yourself to S. Main Steet south of Charleston but north of Utah. You'll find the coolest independent businesses, restaurants, breweries, antique & retro shops, even a comedy club.

The area feels like a hip (but not too hip) area of suburban Phoenix. After many, many Vegas trips, we discovered this area and spent much of two days/evenings here. It's so relaxing. Be warned, this isn't the best way for first-timers or those with limited Vegas experience. However, when you're sick of The Strip and/or Fremont Street, this is an excellent place to take a "vacation" from your hectic Las Vegas vacation.

Best day we had in Vegas was exploring the art district. Love all the downtown art murals. Then it was full of vintage/thrift shops which my daughter enjoys. The antique & Pawn shops literally have something strangest stuff in them so it was fun to browse. We did not eat but there is plenty of food spots. Do not go early nothing really open till 11 or noon.

We not big fans or the Strip or Fremont with all the people. Going down here was a breath of fresh air. Really chill fun day.

Fewer crowds then the strip. Had just arrived on a late fly and the strip was crazy! We drove down towards Fremont and found the Art District. Cute uncrowned area cute boutiques and restaurants. Easy street parking! Went to a pizza place that was amazing. People send their grandmas pictures and they have them displayed in frames of all kinds on their wall. Had an incredible then rectangle authentic pepperoni pizza one of the best I have had by far!

Great neighborhood to walk around for 1-2 hours. A lot of vintage shops, breweries and restaurants. Find Vespers coffee for great coffee. Lots of interesting murals and alleys to explore. Hope to return at night to check out wine bar.

Sort of off the beaten track, between downtown and the Strip. Definitely worth a trip to. Great exhibits. Awesome antique and thrift stores in the area. From downtown there is a free bus to the Art District.

This is definitely a great find in Las Vegas... 18 blocks of arts, crafts, antique store, food, drinks, bars and so much more. The area is getting a face lift by the city and looking good. A must visit when in Vegas and tired of the gambling scene.

The Arts District, started almost 20 years ago, is Las Vegas' best kept secret. It's over 18 blocks of art studios, art galleries, antique shops, theaters, restaurants, bars, yoga, boxing, gyms, shops, murals, hair salons and outdoor events. Every year it gets better and better. Being a very eclectic mix of businesses, in the past, it's suffered from a lack of self-promotion, hence it being not very well known. But recently, a number of great shops and galleries have opened and it's really taking off. Their website keeps tabs on the most recent events. There seems to be something every day of the week. Right now, you have to walk around with a good map or take one of the many segway or bike or bus tours but, literally, every day, new businesses open.

The new Nevada Museum of Art opened their temporary spot (for the next few years) at 920 S. Commerce Street.

You can bar hop on Cycle Pub Vegas at 201 N 3rd St, Las Vegas, NV.

I advise going to the website for the 18b.org and seeing what's happening. There's really a lot of things to do that don't involve the Strip or Downtown while showing you the real Las Vegas.

Love the emerging feeling of this area. Still has empty lots and vacancies, but budding businesses and creative spaces. The murals as well as some bars, coffee places and a creative, freedom is fun to explore.

Area seems unsafe and nothing looked open on a Wednesday early afternoon. Would not walk anywhere in this neck of the woods.... just my opinion.
