I wouldn't recommend this for adults alone or older kids, but if you've got a young dinosaur buff or natural history fan in the family this is a good place to go on a rainy day or to get off the Strip.

Stopped by for almost 2 hours. The museum is not big, but still has a nice variety of exhibits about the natural world. There is a large room of taxidermied wildlife, as well as displays about ocean life. There are also dinosaur fossils, rocks and...More

If you have ever visited one of the country's good natural history museums, you'll be disappointed in the one. It has lots of "stuffed" animals, but it's relatively small and the exhibits sometimes look a bit dated.

Though it doesn't seem so from the outside, the museum has a number of exhibits, including live marine animals, pythons, exhibits on early man and Africa, and a detailed recreation of Tut's Tomb. There is also an aquarium tank created by the TV show "Tanked"...More

Our kids enjoyed our trip to the museum. A little smaller than expected our kids our teens now but they had some really great exhibits for the kids to enjoy. We usually try to visit a museum on each trip and thought we would stop...More

We enjoyed an afternoon exploring the museum. My favorite exhibit is the geology display. Still, a nice job was done with the animal and marine exhibits. The dinosaur display had animation and sounds effects that made it more interactive and thrilled children. The King Tut...More

This place is about a twenty minute walk from Fremont street. The admission fee is $10 so not overly expensive and is based over two floors. It has lots of stuffed animals and a small exhibition on Tutankhamen and ancient Egypt. Interesting place to visit...More

Having been to many natural history museums, this is one of the least impressive ones. On the other hand, admission is only $10, and it is a decent break from the strip. Can't imagine spending more than an hour though. The Neon Museum is nearby,...More

This is a good place to spend a quiet hour or so. Most of the natural history exhibits are pretty dated but still informative. The highlight is the Egypt/King Tut exhibit. This reminds me of a touring exhibit, but here you can see it cheaper...More

Two hours perhaps, although we've spent longer on our two visits there. Highlights: the Egyptian display, which some years ago was the display in the Luxor hotel (and then donated I believe to the museum). All reproductions... More

Via Lyft, it's about $15-$20 from the Flamingo to the museum. Taxis would be a bit more. There are certainly busses nearby, but I don't know the prices or schedules. You can access that information online, though it won't... More
