If you don't have much time, I would recommend a cruise. I had my reservations initially as cruising around the lake can get quite boring... after all it is just another lake. To my surprise, you will be mesmerised by the beauty and the pristine clear water. Yes there may be a mad rush for the seats but you will... More

The Emerald Bay Cruise is an excellent way to begin a stay at Lake Tahoe. It's a relaxed trip that puts you out on the lake, and the narration provides the history and interesting facts about Lake Tahoe. The prize of the trip is the visit to Emerald Bay - a spot that can only be described as beautiful.

We received a lovely lunch with delicious deserts and amiable staff. A wonderful cruise and the weather cooperated nicely. An amazing experience

We rode the Tahoe Queen for a Lunch cruise. The trip on the lake was outstanding. The luncheon was not that great because of the number of people on board. Seating was not the best for lunch. The sights were beautiful and the weather as pleasant.

The dinner cruise was very relaxing, we were served a 3 course dinner and then retired to the top deck where we watched the sun set and adored the "Saucer Clouds" in the sky.

We took the afternoon cruise to Emerald Bay. It was a lovely ride. The view coming into Emerald Bay is stunning. I admit the ride is a bit long but worth it just to get that view. It was a very pleasant afternoon spent aboard the MS Dixie II. Make sure you apply plenty of sunscreen if you are going... More

We took the 2 hour daytime cruise to Emerald Bay on one of their 2 paddle wheel boats. The scenery in Emerald Bay is beautiful. The boat had a full bar, restaurant and gift shop. Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours at Lake Tahoe.

The dinner was good but not great. It's banquet-style seating and serving. We were in Emerald Bay while the sun was setting but I don't think that is the best location to watch the sun set (the mountains obscure the view). The best part of the cruise was after the meal when we could go to the upper deck and... More

We took a 1 and half hours cruise on the lake which was so peaceful; we were away from the hustle and bustle of life amidst nature with beautiful Sierra Nevada snow capped mountains in the background. We never got tired of clicking pictures or taking videos. Sitting on the deck sipping cool drinks watching the scenery is one of... More
