Not at all crowded since it’s December. Very pleasant and peaceful to walk along the beach with a brisk, cool wind and splashing of water. Beautiful setting with snow capped peaks in the horizon and tall pine trees everywhere. Worth a visit even in winter....More

On the Southern part of Lake Tahoe up the road from the casinos. This beach is one of the biggest and best beaches with a great view of the lake. The sand is soft even though it is a larger grain. There are some trees...More

The views are scenic. Lake, mountains, beach and crystal clear water. This beach is much quieter that Sand Harbor. Picnic tables and grilling spots available. There were some geese on the beach but they didn't bother anyone. The beach was very clean. Pay to enter...More

We have to been to this beach many tines during Autumn and Winter and this was our first Summer visit to this beach. We went on a weekday about 12:30 - no crowds and no problem parking. Hubby dropped me off by entrance gate as...More

This beach is clean, spacious, plenty of parking and perfect! The dog beach area at the south end is the best I have found. The sand is a little rough on the feet but it is a new favorite stop in Tahoe.

The sand was a little uncomfortable to walk on, not sure why. Great views, lots of beach and parking.

Honestly, I've been to this beach now at least 8 times, and upon each occasion, walking the park area, with the paved pathway down into the 'dog off leash' beach friendly area....is hardly that! I've seen numerous...pretty much "everyone" that has a large-sized dog....off the...More

I am not sure. It is near campgrounds and I don't believe it is fenced off or under ranger control except at the campground entrance. We walked from highway and saw no barriers.

If you plan to get a parking space, or even a spot on the beach plan to be their at 4:00am to 5:00am and stay there until 9:00 pm when the fire works go off. Honestly i live in the area and its not worth it.
