One of the great spits at Lake Tahoe is Sand Harbor where Shakespeare and other performances of music and musical theater are held every summer outdoors. Bring a picnic dinner or reserve seats with dinner and wine served to you!

This company puts on two plays a season. Terrific 1000 plus outdoor amphitheater. Bring your own meal or buy one there, They also offer beer and wine.

It's not only Shakespeare at this festival all summer long, but Music festivals as well at beautiful Sand Harbor Beach. I went to the Jazz show and it was fabulous. Check the schedule for the weekly shows and be sure to get your tickets early. They offer table seating, up close seating and general seating. They have vendors to buy... More

My wife and I sat on the third row in the Premium seating area for the performance of "Comedy of Errors" on Tuesday, 16 Aug 2016, and loved everything about this memorable event. We had been able to attend the Shakespeare Festival in August 2013 on our last visit to Tahoe, and we planned our trip this year so that... More

We took our eleven and thirteen year olds to Comedy of Errors this summer (2016) and had a wonderful time. It was their first Shakespeare play but the relaxed atmosphere and outdoor setting were very welcoming. Great fun! Great food! Friendly staff and volunteers! And the most beautiful setting. If you have the chance...GO!

This is a wonderful venue, complete with optional dinner foods, to enjoy live stage performances. The Shakespeare Festival offers a variety of entertainment other than just Shakespeare, too. Close parking, to boot! The address advertised is a bit misleading - the actual theater is at Sand Harbor Beach. Chair seating is provided.

You can not beat a play under the stars and moon shimmering on Lake Tahoe on a warm summer evening. The productions are always first rate. I recommend having a reservation for chair seating on the second tier. The food is quite good and a nice menu to choose from. Wine is also available. But you can bring your own... More

This is a must for anyone staying at the lake. There is something truly magical about watching tremendous talent in such a spectacular setting. Take a blanket - it can get cold. There is food - but we took a picnic and our own wine. The seats are good whatever the level if you consider how close you are to... More

Beautiful setting to view plays. Seating is outstanding with no bad seats. Get there early to enjoy food and drinks. Parking is the only negative so get there early.

We've been to Shakespeare in the Park for the last eight seasons. Incredible spot on beautiful lake Tahoe. Cast and crew always create a wonderful night.
