This interpretive center is very well done and very interesting. It's also free. It tells the tale of the California Trail and the settlers who traveled it in the 1800s. It's well worth spending several hours on!

Great display of the travels taken by immigrants through the area including the Donner Party. Make sure that you take the time outside to look at the bricks, they are a map of all the trails of the area.

On our way to Reno from Elko we stopped at this lovely and FREE museum. We learnt a lot about the California trail and why people left their homes to move to California. Fantastic stop.
