Plenty of free parking on side streets, and within a few blocks walk of the Nevada State Museum (well worth seeing as well). The monument to fallen officers is in the adjacent park, as is the statue to Kit Carson. The Supreme Court building is...More

Several interesting things to see inside. One room had a side desk where you could choose and then listen to narrated stories about important legal decisions made in Nevada in the past. Only voice, video would have made it better. The staircase railing was impressive....More

Nevada's Capitol Building complex is as modest and charmingly purposeful as Las Vegas is flashy and profligate. We were welcomed at several offices (including the Governor's!) along our self-guided tour. We recommend, especially if you have young children along with you.

I hadn't realised that Carson City was the State Capital of Nevada - ignorant Scotsman. Free admission and friendly staff more than compensated for its small size. Well worth a visit.

I have visited many of the state capitols, but enjoyed my visit here very much. It is certainly not the biggest capitol but it is very nice, very quaint and well done. The people were outstanding, just could not have been friendlier or more informative.

We only visited from the outside, but it’s a fairly unique, attractive looking building, in the middle of a wooded property. Definitely worth stopping to take pictures. What is also interesting is that across the street, to the east and west, are the city hall...More

This is a must see building. The grounds are great and they have the police statue with the list of names of fallen officers. The state of Kit Carson is nice as well as the founder of Carson City--Curry
