We came across this attraction by chance, whilst driving on the coast road east from Kyrenia. Look out for a small church in the distance on the right-hand side of the road, which we thought would make a nice photograph. The good quality access road and large carpark seemed to be out of place until it became obvious that there were other attractions on site, namely 15 high-quality scale models of landmark buildings from both sides of the green line - well worth the very modest entrance fee. The cafe was also a most welcome feature on what proved to be a very hot day.

Minia Kibris, located in Tatlisu, near Iskele just a few kilometrres north of Kyrenia, is a fascinating and precise miniature collection of the most historic buildings in North Cyprus. You will be able to get some excellent photos, which should look just like the real buildings, and this might even help you decide which historical sites to visit.
The site was officially opened just a few years ago, and the miniature buildings were the creations of husband and wife sculptors Ugur & Necmiye Ozsengul.
The site is located on a short track off the main road, and there is a good sized car-park. There is no public transport, so you will either have to drive, or take an organised tour or taxi. There are toilets, but no cafe or restaurant, so take drinks in hot weather. The scenery round about is quite spectacular, but there's not much walking involved from the car-park.
Also on the same site is the 11th century Byzantine church of Panayia Pergaminiotissa, which is worth a visit to see the ancient wall paintings.
The site is open daily from 9.00am - 5.00pm, and costs 5 Turkish lira to enter.

Took a little while to find, but it was worth it. Not a large place but very interesting with miniatures of lots of famous structures. Little church to look around too. Nice place to have a coffee and food

We made a return visit to this attraction after having loved it 4years ago. The number of models of the historic buildings in Northern Cyprus has expanded somewhat to now include several places in Turkey. It is a lovely place to wander around with views to enjoy. The ancient church has a museum which is OK to have a look round. The cafe has drinks to enjoy with outside seating with a very friendly man running it. So cheap to get in too.

Have to admit that we were a little disappointed with the place, as it is not particularly good compared to other minitayre attractions we have seen before.
However, it was very cheap, which in itself also makes sense.

We have visited the models of the great Turkish sites in Antalya, and the Cypriot models are as impressive as those in Antalya. They range from the theatre and baths at Salamis to the monastic sites and mosques still in use in North Cyprus. Perhaps the most interesting is the mosel of a typical farmhouse of the 1930s.

This was almost the first stop we made on our trip around Northen Cyprus and it was interesting to see all the buildings here before we saw them in real life. The small museum was not that much interesting, a snake in a bottle and a fossile more or less.

We arrived with a group, driving for 1/2 an hour in the landscape. A small chapel was in sight, and when we got near, we saw 20-25 miniature buildings, and a tiny cafe, and toilets. Inside the cafe was a family making pitabread with cheese, spinat and meat, freshly made in thin bread. They tasted great, and I have so much respect for the two women, working very hard to feed us all. I Can recommend The tûrkish coffee and The pitabread! The small chapel was now a local museum. Inside was still some of the wallpaintings from when it was a Church.

This is an open-air "museum," containing detailed models of 15 historic buildings in Cyprus. Architecture buffs would probably like this. There is, however, nearly nothing in the way of explicatory labels. I was not very impressed.

One of the places we visited on the fifth day of our holiday was the Minia Kibris or Cyprus in miniature exhibition in the grounds of the Church of Panagia Kanakaria.
The miniature open-air park currently exhibits fifteen miniature models of key historic buildings on Northern Cyprus belonging to the Ottoman, Byzantine and Roman periods, walking amongst them effectively takes you on a journey through time. I understand that the collection will be extended over time to include more buildings.
Don't forget to visit the Byzantine Church which has remnants of frescoes within it's domed apse
If you are in need of refreshments there is a cafe with toilets within the grounds.
